Opinion =/= objective

Yes, exactly. You questioned the OP based on your opinion that 2015's lineup isn't as good as 2014's. So I proposed the alternative viewpoint to your opinion with MY opinion (which I acknowledged) that 2015's lineup is better than 2014's.

No, I WASN'T using an opinion. It's a FACT that WII U's 2015's line up is inferior to it's 2014 line up.

The only big title for 2015 that WII U owners have is Zelda U and it's cell shaded ... (Not to say a cell shaded zelda is bad but they sell less.)

Ps3 is a bad analogy as the Ps3 had a much better start than the wii u.  The ps3 also showed solid growth every year while the wii u is just about stagnant with last year.  It also had third party support which is neccessary if you want to have a console that last for more than 5 years.  The wii u will probably be retired in year 5 like every nintendo console before it because it will make more business sense for nintendo to start over with a new console than to keep try to dig the wii u out of the hole it is in.  They will proabably squeak out around 20-30 million.

I doubt it but a lot can change. It will depend on a lot of things.

Will Amiibo bring the younger audience back to Nintendo?
Will Splatoon join Mario Kart & Smash Bros and become another killer multiplayer Nintendo game?
Are people actually waiting for the price to go down?

These questions and more will be answered on the next episode of Nintendo Ball Z!

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you feel Zelda is the ONLY 2015 game worth anything. I personally am looking forward to the half-dozen other games they showed off at E3 for 2015 in addition to Zelda, which is why I disagree with your statements.

That being said, I did acknowledge in my earlier posts that 2015 currently doesn't have any franchises that are thought of as "system sellers" to the extent that Smash Bros and Mario Kart are. Other than Zelda somewhat, which you mentioned. However, I think that in relation to the OP, it's a mistake to only look at each game's individual potential to help Wii U instead of looking at the strength (ie. the quantity and quality) of a system's library at a given point in time. One game can make a huge impact, but so can a growing library that eventually reaches a point (along with reduced price points of the systems and even the games themselves) where it's difficult to resist or ignore.

I agree with most of what you said. I just used the PS3 as an analogy because it was a late-bloomer in terms of sales. Of course I don't expect Wii U to come anywhere close to PS3's sales. I just think there is certainly a chance that the OP is right, and that with more price reductions and a strengthening library (which I'm very optimistic about at the moment, particularly over the next year and a half), Wii U could manage to show sales growth this year and next year as well, ending up higher than people are expecting based on current sales totals. It certainly wouldn't have to sell "that" much to show sales growth year over year based on what it's sold per year so far. :p I agree that the 20-30 million range is probably about the best it can hope for, though.

Wii U had a better launch, but PS3 sold better through out the year. And we can't say the Wii U hasn't grown every year, because we only have "2 years" to make any comparisons from. This sounds sad to say, but I'll gladly take those 20-30 million you are saying.

Also, maybe I just need to sleep, but Amiibos will be an amazing thing for Nintendo.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

At this point amiibo's is Nintendo's best bet of a smash hit - I am not sure how the market will react to them, but one has to hope it can be a game changer.... Just hope!
