Well I would start by saying that I care, since my 3DS can only connect to the internet at my house or at a couple of friends' houses. In a car, plane, bus, train, park, waiting room, theater, hotel -- no Virtual Console for you!


You don't have to be online to play the free PS+ games either.

Didn't you just tell me that it would have to verify your account online regularly to ensure that your subscription is still active?

Don't hold your breath for GBA on 3DS. It isn't powerful enough to emulate GBA games in the first place (ambassador games aren't emulated, they are launched as native apps through the DS mode, and from there, GBA mode. That's why they couldn't include things like suspend points. Every VC title from now on will have suspend points and GBA on 3DS doesn't support it.

If the PSP can emulate GBA games the 3DS can as well.

Well yes it would have to occasionally. I'm not really sure how ps+ does it, but it doesn't have to check every time. I know that because my internet was out for a week and I was still able to play dark arisen and xcom.

Nope, Nintendo only has super-underpowered hardware. Like, Tiger Toys level stuff.

Cross play for me with games tied to your account and not the system. I really don't care about playing Snes or Nes games on the 3DS because I find it very uncomfortable, but I want to be able to play them in the next Nintendo home consoles using just my account, not that transfer crap thing.

Subscription is an interesting idea, but it doesn't work for me for two reasons:

1. Not enough time to play nowadays, I may be paying without playing anything in the month, just as it happens with me and Netflix. However, movies last 2 hours so I still find some time to watch one. Games on the other hand can last for several hours.

2. Already bought on the Wii 80% of the VC games currently available that I'm interested.

REAL games are completed in an hour, tops. Usually less, because you die so quickly.

It's a one time verification i believe. I expect the OS has some sort of internal PS+ countdown that starts once you subscribe to PS+ so it knows when it's run out. That's just a guess though. I keep my PS3 offline except for when i want to download something and I've never had an issue.

haha yes, but the skills you need to develop to finish those games would take forever. Nowadays I can finish Ninja Gaiden in less than an hour, but it took me 100 hrs of my childhood  :D
