Wii is almost certainly Nintendo's best console.
Sadly it lacks a few non-Nintendo gems of the NES, SNES, and N64 on the Virtual Console service. It has most of the important ones and then some, though, save Earthbound.

Bearing in mind that selling well and being appreciated are two different things, it's definitely the Wii. Everyone treats it like shit while in my opinion it's the best (home) console they've ever made.

Hey, the SNES was just a little overrated but just a little and you have to give it that despite the fact that was my favourite for 4th generation ... I don't remember N64 and GC being any good at all seeing as how there were only 5 good games I liked that worth owning the consoles for ... Both of them got straight up overshadowed by the better options known as PS1 and PS2. |
Comparing the N64 and GC to them is like comparing another football player to John Elway and Jerry Rice. If you're not an American football fan, then Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan. Everything is going to suck compared to them.
Oh wait, 20 other people made that joke.
I guess I'll go with Gamecube
nice

Yeah sure the PS1 and the PS2 may have been the best consoles to have graced the videogame industry but the fact is not a whole lot of people appreciated the N64 and the GC for very good reasons. They were failures as game consoles since their games didn't deliver for the most part and that's what hurt those systems most. The lack of "quality" softwares compared to it's competitors ...
Wii. The console gets downplayed a lot by hardcore/forum gamers. There is crazy amount of revisionist history already that labels the console as a fad and at times much worse. Gives them a feeling of machismo i suppose.
The Wii easily, it gets a lot of hate from people because it was popular among casuals and people considered it some casual console full of shovelware when its games library is pretty good
Also I don't understand the people who vote for the Gamecube when it's pretty beloved by a lot of people.
The GameCube is to consoles what Wind Waker is to Zelda. Everyone freaking trashed the hell out of them when they first layed eyes on it (purple lunchbox? Fisher Price controller? Nickelodeon graphics?), the mainstream crowd wouldn't give them a chance in their heyday, but now their the hipster bait that everyone waxes poetically about.
