Forums - Gaming - Most Under-appreciated Console company that still exists

Which deserves more respect than it's getting

Nintendo 280 66.67%

Sony 83 19.76%

Microsoft 56 13.33%

Total:419

Nobody is under or over appreciated to be honest. The only thing that is under-appreciated imo is the Vita, absolutely fantastic hardware, it has so much potential but no support from first/third party. But Sony is solely to blame for the Vita's situation.

Nintendo. They are just so misunderstood.

Aside from the silly argument we have going on, I think it's pretty clear that Nintendo is the most underappreciated of the three.

If you disagree then you are in the minority. Just deal with and move on.

What are these great new games coming out for wiiu that aren't remakes?

I cant think of a single remake, so all of them...?

Without Nintendo MS and Sony probably wouldn't be making consoles at all now.
They've basically created this market.

If anything we should be thanking Atari since their the original progenitor that popularized consoles in the first place ...

By remake I meant a game that's something new. Not another Mario, Zelda, Mario kart or smash brothers but something new. Only people too sensitive would take my comment as a troll comment. I have no problem with Nintendo or any other gaming company(it's video games lol). I just don't get how Nintendo fans cannot understand why Nintendo is looked at in a certain view. Most of Nintendo's big games are from franchises that are a decade plus old. Where are the new franchises? I'm also counting 3rd parties in this. It's been the same for years. New Mario, Zelda, Mario kart, smash brothers and so on. Some are great games but not worth in opinion to buy a system for. That's why wiiu gets ignored. Plus some of the games are cartoony and appeal to little kids. This cannot be debated. Your average male in his 20s isn't going to buy games like Kirby or Pokemon. To each his or her own I guess. A lot of Nintendo fans love attacking and taking things personal when it comes to others critizcising certain things Nintendo does lol

They did, but before the NES came around, the gaming industry was going downhill. Nintendo created the modern console market.

That maybe true for one region such as north america but gaming still thrived in other parts of the world like europe or japan. Nintendo may have revitalized gaming for north america however full credits still goes to Atari who were the ones that bought consoles to the masses. It's not to say that Nintendo didn't do anything special like ensuring quality control for games and such but I feel we shouldn't forget who's actually the creator of the console market in general.

Well if every Nintendo franchise was the same every time, then I would get tired of them. I dont like the console NSMB games because they feel and pretty much look the same.

Every Zelda, Mario 3D platformer, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid, Star Fox etc... feels different with each game. Be it atmosphere or gameplay.

And games like Punch-Out!!, Pikmin, Smash Bros etc...we get so rarely.

Nintendo still has Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Bayonetta 2, The Devils Third, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Maker and Hyrule Warriors to look forward to.

Obviously Sony.

Because Nintendo is Nintendo and Microsoft is Microsoft.
