Yeah I echo the sentiment that odds are the site will likely close down; you can only go so far without any updates or incentives when half the tools are broken or simply don't exsist anymore.

I remember the site being updated almost yearly before. I thought that was too much, but not getting any updates...
Might try gaf, although that place seems too busy for me.
The thought of VGchartz closing down really upsets me.....

If the site closes down we'll create the NeoVGC forums... Gnac can probably clone the forums if he wanted to and I'll spring in to pay for the hosting..

Sounds like a plan. And I'll host the prediction leagues for football tournaments, because the person who is in charge right now is anything but reliable. |
Great, I heard that person underestimated the popularity of that tournament..

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
I mean, i'm half on TVTropes now anyway, but there are still many compelling threads that keep me posting here beyond my capacity as a mod (and TVTropes structures their threads like GAF, making it hard to have a sustained conversation like you can have here). The question is what keeps the good posters here?

TV tropes: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=f30o7cw8xam8af6xv5u7s2vh&page=1#25
That's their Team Fortress 2 thread. Presently over 39,000 posts long, its like the mega-threads we have here (PS Nation, XBN, Nintendomination), and so is more difficult to have a sustained conversation, whereas here we can have much more specific topics like "who should buy Crytek now"?, something that would have less of a place over there.
GAF does more with news, but i think the sheer volume of posts over there makes it hard to keep up with, while TVTropes is less newsey, but GAF also goes more in for the megathreads.

Uhm.. They left? The site just has leftovers over who by default became the "good" posters
