You can still run into your friends in the open world, but yea, no strike missions...

I'm in a similar situation to you. Most of my gaming is done on PC and I really only have the PS4 single-player console exclusives (Though destiny is very intersting to me and I keep PS+ for the freebies. They've been worth).

I haven't read through the thread yet and I will. I'm curious, is there a particular reason you don't want first party suggestions?

I never really liked the first three Arkham games, so I'll pass on Arkham Knight. (I never beat them, but I played all three.) I already played TLOU, so I'm not getting that one. KH3 is definitely on my radar, whenever it comes out lol.

Ok well just dont be trying to act brand new if you do decide to get one. Dont be trying to claim how dissapointed you are of the PS4 because of exclusives and how it's "collecting dust" and how you feel you wasted your money on it. 

Just dont be one of those stealth guys who buys a system only to turn around and TRASH IT.

Never heard of someone not liking the Arkham games so I don't even know what to say about that lol the game looks fantastic in ever aspect.

I guess I wasn't really clear. I'm not really interested in most of Sony's 1st party games, and I know the ones that I'll like already. I didn't want this to turn into a thread where all I do is defend why I think Naughty Dog's games are mediocre but presented well, or why I think The Order: 1886 looks like garbage, or any number of things that have absolutely nothing to do with why I want a PS4.

I don't want this thread to turn into a "Sony fans shit on you for not enjoying some games that happen to be made by first party studios." It's the same reason why I never bring up F-Zero on the Nintendo forums.

Yeah, I'm not going to do that. Just like I criticize my Wii U, I'm not going to stop critizing the PS4, just because I own it. If my PS4 starts "collecting dust" though (I don't think I've ever said that to describe anything), it'll be my fault, as I already said that my buying it now would be a year too early in my first post, and that this would be an impulse buy because of the White bundle. I own a Wii U, and I always tell people to wait for Zelda before buying one, because it's not worth it right now. I don't think the PS4 is worth it right now either, but I may be willing to get it early for the White box. If anyone were to ask me if I think the PS4 is worth it right now after I owned it, I'd say no, just like with the Wii U and just like with the XBO. The only next gen console that is worth a purchase right now is the 3DS, and even so, it's had a terrible 2014, and looks like it'll have an even worse 2015. But it has enough amazing games right now that they could announce an HDS tomorrow, and I'd think it had a good run.

Yes, they are. They are mediocre games hidden under some of the best presentation and story telling in the industry. And they copy themselves, a lot. And they are extremely derivative o... See? I didn't want to do this.

That's like pretty much saying the whole 3rd person shooter genre is mediocre because you probably couldn't name one that's better than Uncharted without it being JUST LIKE uncharted like Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider is mediocre and just like Uncharted. Spec Ops: The Line is better. Saint's Row 3+4 are better. Vanquish is better. Resident Evil 4 is better. GTA 4 is better. Red Dead Redemption is better.

I'd be lying. That's a weak way to convey opinion. The Batman games don't appeal to me. The Uncharted series is mediocre and over rated. The Last of Us is even more over rated. Sonic Advance 1+2 are bad games.

That's like saying Mario Galaxy is mediocre knowing DAMN WELL it isn't.

It isn't. It's a pinnacle of game design. Uncharted is a pinnacle of motion capture and a budget. And okay game design.

I dont like Animal Crossing or Halo but i do realizsrealize that their is some quality to these games.

I do like Uncharted though. Just because I think something is mediocre doesn't mean I hate it. They aren't shit games. They are mediocre games. Unremarkable games. I'm done with the series, because people don't continue to buy mediocre and unremarkable things. I'm not going to say "in my opinion" just to save someone elses fragile feelings, because they can't handle someone criticizing something they like.

Bioshock was amazing. 2 and Infinite were mediocre. I don't see myself getting excited by another one. Or how about this; God of War 1+2+3 are amazing, and that SONY team puts Naughty Dog to shame because their gameplay and level design is as amazing as their overall presentation and outshines all of the Uncharted games. Uncharted 2 was my favorite, though. I'd definitely play a God of War 4. I'd watch an Uncharted movie.

And yea i'm getting the PS4 earlier than expected too. I also got the Wii U earlier than expect( I was mentally FORCED to take advantage of the MK8 bundle deal. I just didn't have a choice there either)

I have MK8(obviously), NSMBU, Pikmin 3 and Earthbound. I really dont plan on getting anything else right now because i got it early and i want to wait and i'm currently saving for that PS4 lol
