Titanfall is an xbox console exclusive, we all know that.. but seeing how it is that any future Titanfall IPs will no longer be exclusive to the xbox console, do you think EA is ultimately hurting/potentially stymed the IP by making the first title an exclusive and shunning the playstation community who would of also bought the game? Adding, because of some of the negative public perception of the game, like the limited game modes, high cost/low content, lacking single player, 6v6, bots, graphics, etc.. this could also create an even more skeptical outlook on any future installments by the playstation community in general. Granted, there would still be folks on playstation that would buy TF2, but at the same time, many of the playstation community could also choose to turn away from the IP because of the way they were dropped by EA for the first title. I personally feel, as a PS gamer, being shunned by the 1st title, why would I buy the 2nd title? Because I don't have the first title, what's the story or lore leading up to the 2nd? What did I miss out? Questions like these and other games available at the time of TF2's release could ultimately sway mine and other people's mind when it comes to whether or not to purchase. This is where I think EA mishandled the Titanfall IP. Not only did they just ignore a big gaming community by choosing exclusivity, the decision EA ultimately made (because Titanfall 1 was originally meant to go multiplat) will cause the franchise to not be as big as it could be, especially when talking about wanting a COD killer IP. Regardless of what MS did, EA agreed to the terms. What do you guys think?
P.S. I don't want no flaming/trolling and console x is better than console y type convo. Just want to know your opinions as to how EA handled Titanfall and if their decision of exclusivity could ultimately hurt the TF franchise and any future multiplat installments.
Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..
