Forums - Nintendo - Toki Tori 2 discount - worth it?

The WiiU e-shop has it for about 5 bucks. Never thought of getting it, but it drew my attention with this price. What do you guys think? Should I get it or maybe invest the money somewhere else?

Toki Tori is a fun puzzle platformer game...if it sounds appealing to you, check it out

Two Tribes is a solid publisher. While I haven't tried Toki Tori yet. I've played Rush and Edge.

Rush is okay. Edge is the best $2 I ever spent on a game. Got a solid 20+ hours on the game. Very fun game, great music, and unique level design in spite of the minimalistic presentation (which I still find pretty cool).

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

For 5 bucks what could you possibly have to lose. I'll get it this weekend. Been meaning to just haven't gotten around to it.

I didn't like it. Toki Tori on Wii was a decent puzzle game with individual levels, this one tries to integrate a puzzle game into a connected world. It deliberately doesn't give you much help, to the point that the electronic manual doesn't even tell you what kind of things you can do with your abilities. You have to rely on in-game clues.

The problems with Toki Tori 2's approach are that the map sucks and that it is a puzzle game. After a while (especially if you play in short sessions) you won't know where to go next and warping around to already visited places to look around for forks in the road is a tedious process, because you will have to solve puzzles again just to make sure that you haven't overlooked something. It's just too easy to lose track in this game. If you get it regardless, I advise to take down notes in order to remember where you still have to tie up loose ends.

Some of the Stuff that Rol states was fixed with Toki Tori 2+ (which is an free upgrade) You get mole hills for faster travel and feathers on the map show where you already have been.

If you can, you can buy it on Steam for $2.99 - its currently 80% off due to the Summer Sale!

The PAL eShop has the same offer.

I ended up getting it without seeing the last suggestions, especially Rol's ones. Well, I'd probably not have done it if I had seen those, but let's see how it goes.

Thanks a lot, guys.
