1. It's not limited time, as far as I've ever heard. I couldn't imagine Nintendo NOT keeping that bundle going at least through the end of this year.

2. Yeah, nobody want "2d game like that", that's why that 2D game has sold over 4 million copies on a console with a "low install base". That is over half of that install base, by the way.

3. I think long-term, you will be able to point to MK8 as having helped to save the Wii U. NO single game was ever going to do it, and people expecting such (with each fucking release of Pikmin, Mario, DK, etc.), were just being naive and ignorant. But MK8 did what it needed to do, it gave a much needed shot in the arm to the system, and helped raise it's profile considerably. Long term, I think the legs of both MK8 the game, and it's help in boosting system sales, will be significant.

Yes, and by that definition, so is every public head/face of every company on the face of the Earth. That doesn't, however, mean that Reggie can't, as part of his job, be trying to sell you something, but also genuinely like/care about the products he's selling you at the same time. That is not unheard of in the business world, not by a longshot, and just because Reggie is, as you claim, a "shill", because he wants you to buy the product that he represents, doesn't imply that he automatically also doesn't actually like video games. By all indications, he does, and even though he's absolutely a corporate PR man, you can still tell/see on his face that he gets genuinely excited/enthusistic when talking about some of these games.

The three definitions I provided (two of which are the most credible for dictionaries) made no distinction of a public representative of the company and like you claimed "a neutral observer" or "unbiased customer" for a shill. What you gave in those were examples. Not definitions. The only difference between one and the other is we can just easily identify one as a shill over the others. I think this is silly in my opinion. No single game saves a console, it drives them. Mario Kart 8 drove Wii U into fantastic sales, but no sales hang on forever which is why more games like Zelda, Smash Bros and even new IP's are there to make sure more games drive them sales up.

We sold out in so many stores, but it doesn't mean it's not available. A lot of stores in the UK are already stocking up again. End of May and June have probably been a fantastic 2 moinths for them, but obviously they will have to make sure they have more good months. Still in the market, stilling outselling other consoles and they aren't leaving any time soon. No games saves a console.

Not strictly true, Pokemon saved Gameboy? But that was a new franchise which because a phenomenon. MK8 is a sequel, people know what they're getting. So you're right.
