Wow I guess its a good thing for PS fans that the PS4 is doing so well.

In light of this I can't help but kinda feel blessed by Nintendo's retained devotion to its suffering home-console.

This makes sense and will be a better use of their resources to support a successful console in the form of the ps4 rather than trying to revive the dwindling sales of the Vita.

The Ironic thing is the Playstation TV will get the dev's on board to develop for it 1st and port that very same GAME TO THE PSVita!

thus if people that called the PSVita "just a port machine"  well in that point they will be right LMAO

oh fuck outta here, Sony. You've been focusing on indies and crap all has happened. It is what it is, but for the love of crap at least finish Gravity Rush 2 and release it. Only game i was really looking forward too

and who states they would not? What yoshida just stated the PSVita is going to get less exclusive 1st party offering's, and yet Sony is Launching playstation TV right in the fall? do you think relaunching the PSVita platform as a Microso-Game console is why they are not going to put more effort into trying to gain more of what little dedicated handheld game console market share is left?

What Sony has done now is Moved the Playstation Vita to now the Playstation TV as its new "Micro console" and with a starting price point of $99.00

Look at it this way , if this gets lots of units moved than Gravity Rush 2 will be developed first for the Playstation TV 1st and ported over to the PSVita!

See everyone wins, the PSVITA KEEPS SUPPORT , NINTENDO HAS PRETTY MUCH A MONOPOLY in whats left of the dedicated Game handheld market, and Sony gets to disrupt the Micro- GAME CONSOLE MARKET With a Micro-Game console of their own.

There you have it folks.  From Sony's mouth that they don't give two shits about the Vita.  Anyone who doesn't have one.  Ignore the system because you'll just be throwing money away.

I think the next portable Sony releases, if they do release one, is going to bomb harder than the Vita, because people are going to be wary about purchasing it again when they can't count on Sony giving the system they've purchased for hundreds of dollars any support other than cheap indie games that are usually poor experiences.  If they do release another, I'm going to wait until there's a minimum of 10 games that are true exclusives that I'm interested in.


No Kupo... there is no next time for Sony. Ps Vita is their last gaming portable device, and it's for the better.

They are freaking Done with a dedicated Game handheld, playstation Portable will be software and network software distribution onto smartphones and Tablets you want physical controls? Bluetooth Game Pads are going to be the Solution, I think Sony is fed up with it and for Good reason. Moving the Playstation Vita to be a Micro- Game Console gets the Playstation Vita as a platform out from under the Nintendo DEDICATED GAME HANDHELD Shadow! just look at this and other game boards about how many threads and talk about how dead the PSVita is vs the Nintendo handhelds..but Nvidia Shield, or Now how about the valve steamboy when it releases. and shows once again no other company can grow handheld market share against Nintendo in a sizeable chunk.

What Sony is doing about the platform is pretty Smart if no one is really set to give the system a chance developers and consumer's alike vs Nintendo, than atleast moving the platform to a Micro- Game console front atleast can gather the system some d@mn support as a Micro-playstation living room game console where Nintendo and Microsoft do not have a Micro-Living room game console..only real platform in the Micro Game console front with large sales numbers is the OUYA.

PSTV will just flop like ouya



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Its Not like this new Playstation TV will not be sold in the section of the part of the store not only in the game console section of target and walmart but also right near these other top set box's like Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV, and Google TV..its not like that would not offer more selection for consumers to now look at a "Playstation" TV as a viable offering, I mean it is a Playstation but names do not matter for products, right?

I was thinking about buying one but now with that statement just seems like a phone with 3rd party support, which most of the games would come out on a console. wow fuckers
