Wow, that sucks. Sounds like your wiiu has a faulty disc drive. Your only option is going to be to send it in for service, I'm afraid. Nintendo consoles are rock solid, but the best of em fail sometimes. It's always a pain though, as it always seems to happen at the worst of times. I hope you get it back quickly.

This only happens when I'm specifically playing online in a race/battle, so I don't think it's the console, atleast I don't see how it would be. I'm gonna try putting my MK8 disc into a friend's Wii U and his in mine and see what happens. That'll confirm whether or not it's the game or the console, as I know my friend isn't having this specific problem. And Nintendo would have to be living under a rock to not already be aware of all these problems!

I don't know specifically what's going in, but, I remember with my original wii, when I played metroid prime it would occasionally give me a disc read error, and only on that one game... It turned out to be a faulty drive. Just thought it sounds like the same kind of thing as you're experiencing...

95% off topic but I once got a disc read error on my DIGITAL copy of Crash Tag Team Racing for the PSP.

I have no idea if it works but you could try to move all related files to the internal memory.

I'm not using an external harddrive or SD card, so I'd think it's all already on the internal memory.

OT for me too: that actually happened with me too, but it did while I was playing the Bounty Hounds demo... man I wish that game would get a sequel :(

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Nintendo took one look at that avy and said nope.

Thanks jlmurph!

Well I just got out of a couple hour long session, so hmms!

I never had that problem... LEGO City Undercover is my only Wii U game that crashed.

The disconnects that happened when someone left the room before he voted for the next track seem to be gone for a few days. Are you still experiencing them?

bwahaha! sorry that was for Rols post

OP: sorry to hear that dude hope you get things working soon
