So Capcom "might" be open to a takeover.  Nintendo says they want to buy something.  If Nintendo bought Capcom and brought all of its games exclusive to Nintendo consoles, would you be more likely to buy a Nintendo console?  If Wii U was the only place to play RE, Dragon's Dogma, Dead Rising, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Deep Down, Lost Planet, etc, would that make you want the system even if you didn't want it before?

If they're going to push out more games for franchises like Mega Man I don't see why people wouldn't want a Ninty console more!

Nintendo should buy Capcom, and if it doesn't, get at least 5 or 6 franchises. I would buy a Nintendo handheld anyways.

There're only two games on your list that would realistically move a decent amount of consoles: RE and Street Fighter.

Let's be honest here Capcom is not a good investment for any of the big three, most of their games have hardly any system selling ability and would probably end up not being worth very much for the manufacturer since they seem to be the kind of games that need as big as a installbase as they can get to get semi decent sales.

So I really don't get why Nintendo fans are so keen on the idea of Nintendo buying Capcom and I don't think Nintendo is very interested in Capcom either, I mean Capcom has shown that they're not opposed to making exclusives if they are getting some incentives, so if Nintendo wanted they could have easily gotten a deal for a new Mega Man or something out of Capcom, but the most Nintendo did was get Mega Man into Smash (and of course MH4 on 3DS), so I really don't see Nintendo having much of an interest in acquiring Capcom at all.

Oh and to answer the question in the OP, no I wouldn't and no I don't see Capcom games making the console more of a must buy for many people.

Surely it would be Nintendo just the games Capcom have will only be on it. Sadly, I have only really bought like 1 Capcom game in 3 or 4 years so it won't change me mind about things.

However I don't feel a Nintendo owned Capcom they would go exclusive, there is too much money to be made elsewhere. Street Fighter and co will bring so much more money in from other sources for example. It would surely be more like a Nintendo owned 3rd party, just with Nintendo's development mind set which can be great at times.
