Would you buy a Nintendo with exclusive Capcom support?

Nintendo should buy them but also let them experiment with Iphone / Android games to try out new markets and bring the cash back in.

Let's be honest here Capcom is not a good investment for any of the big three, most of their games have hardly any system selling ability and would probably end up not being worth very much for the manufacturer since they seem to be the kind of games that need as big as a installbase as they can get to get semi decent sales.

So I really don't get why Nintendo fans are so keen on the idea of Nintendo buying Capcom and I don't think Nintendo is very interested in Capcom either, I mean Capcom has shown that they're not opposed to making exclusives if they are getting some incentives, so if Nintendo wanted they could have easily gotten a deal for a new Mega Man or something out of Capcom, but the most Nintendo did was get Mega Man into Smash (and of course MH4 on 3DS), so I really don't see Nintendo having much of an interest in acquiring Capcom at all.

Oh and to answer the question in the OP, no I wouldn't and no I don't see Capcom games making the console more of a must buy for many people.

As I've mentioned in the other thread Monster Hunter alone would make the company a good investment for Nintendo or Sony before you even start to think about the likes of Mega Man, Resident Evil and Dead Rising. Both platform holders need more hardware sales in the East and Monster Hunter is the second biggest IP over there. It's a real system seller.

And then you have Street Fighter, Nintendo X Street Fighter, Nintendo Vs Capcom, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Deep Down and Mega Man.

It would be a good acquisition for both Sony and Nintendo. Would give them more quality developers in their stable and another publishing arm in Japan, the US and Europe.

Short answer: MH is not worth buying a company like Capcom, just as the other stuff isn't, not for a console manufacturer anyway.

A Nintendo-Capcom console? Sounds strange and it certainly isn't gonna happen, but if we just take the possibility into account then yeah, I'd probably buy it.

For the amount of money you'd have to pay to acquire a 51% share of Capcom I'd say they're a poor investment for a platform holder. Every console gets a share of games from them already, and things like Mega Man's dead/dormant, and I think DMC is going to go back to dormancy. How much does anyone have to benefit? Monster Hunter is not worth the company.

No one's going to buy a majority share of Capcom and make them second party. Honestly if anyone did it might be MS, but it's probably not worth it.
