For the amount of money you'd have to pay to acquire a 51% share of Capcom I'd say they're a poor investment for a platform holder. Every console gets a share of games from them already, and things like Mega Man's dead/dormant, and I think DMC is going to go back to dormancy. How much does anyone have to benefit? Monster Hunter is not worth the company.
No one's going to buy a majority share of Capcom and make them second party. Honestly if anyone did it might be MS, but it's probably not worth it.
