Very keen observations! I really liked the side burns notion :) I kind of agree with you and kind of not. My first theory is that this game is a SS sequel (of some sort) and that the statues scattered around in the trailer and the beast machine are remnants from before the Hyrulians escaped to Skyloft. OR this could be set in the downfall timeline, but BEFORE ALTTP. That would explain the lack of Hyrule Castle; Ganon could have torn it down. There would be no more cities, only wild lands. This could be a game about the Sealing War. Or a pre WW game

But also, part of the world actually fits with Ocarina of time worldmap:

Hyrule Castle/Town at the north
Death Mountain at the northeast
Forest at the east
Lake at the south (believing the mist is coming from a waterfall/lake)
At west there's a canyon like entrance, just like Gerudo Valley in Ocarina.

Beamos I'm pretty sure. Cronologically, SS. Game release wise, ALttP.

lasers, sideburns my guess is before or after ALttP but doesnt make much sense.. lol

I'm sold that it's somewhere on the hero of times defeat timeline. Nice observation about the sideburns.
