I have a feeling our community will grow quite a bit this fall :).

Same impression I got, lol.
Guess OP needs to add an only on Xbox sign on his avatar now too?
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC
Congrats, though I'm probably not going to pick up the collection since my favorite Halo game wasn't even included.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Why?
The problem with Halo: Reach isn't the story, it's where in the line of games it ended up. Had Reach been the first game, rather than at the end of the trilogy, it wouldn't have been so bad. Granted, it would have been better if it had been more like H:CE.
I liked Reach. Even though the story was considerably different from the book, I still liked the story. I would say I enjoyed Halo: Reach more than almost any other Halo game other the H:CE.

I found plot holes, lack of attachment to the characters at all and an overall sense of disappointment playing Reach. This is not an objetive analysis, but rather my own personal experience with the game. I don't say the game is bad as a fact, but how I felt with it.

And I agree that Halo has the most enjoyable multiplayer of any FPS ever. Even though I find Halo 2 to be broken in many ways, so long as people weren't modding, standbying, or superbouncing (and only the latter will likely be an issue in H2A), it was fun, and despite the problems with the cheating and core mechanics it had the best MP map design in the series. While saved films didn't make it into Halo 2, I wish Bungie had gotten it to work. I was playing BTB on Terminal one day and I grabbed the overshield that was on the train tracks... right when the train showed up. Since you're invincible when the OS is charging up, instead of dying I got launched several hundred feet into the air. It actually worked in my favor. After going "HOLY CRAP!" I looked down and saw an enemy driving a Wraith, so I adjusted my trajectory, landed on his hood, boarded and killed him, took the Wraith for myself, and used it to splatter his teammate. As for LAN parties, you remember Sidewinder, right?
Two of my friends, Rich and Nick, were engaged in sniper vs. sniper combat, with Rich on the light side cliff and Nick on the dark side cliff. Rich hit Nick but didn't kill him, so Nick hid behind one of those pillars on that bridge on the dark side cliff. However, those pillars weren't quite tall enough, and Rich spotted the very top of Nick's head, got a red dot on his reticle, and nailed the headshot. The reactions were hilarious. I could hear "DAMN IT, RICH!" from the next room and everybody was laughing. Good times. Oh, and another one of us decided to make a goofy user name: Mebalsrbig (read: Me Balls Are Big). Well, Rich misread it as "Mebalsbrig" (prounounced like "meh-bulls-brig"). Needless to say we all got a kick out of it. |
cool story,bro!
Make sure to also pick up Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 and of course Horizon 2 at the end of September.

Is it Reach or Halo Wars kinda curious. Not picking up the collection either but my younger brother will. Might replay the single player for the second game again. Not big into FPS never played any Halo game online and only beat the single player campaign of the first two and liked the second one a lot more.
