Forums - Sony - Bloodborne is a system seller. Here is why.

I don't see it, looks like a random game to me, graphics aren't that impressive, art direction/immersion is bland, so is the gameplay...

What particular appeal do you see so that it becomes a "system seller" ?

Tagging. People on here love to downplay anything Sony related.

Well, first of: 500k != massive...

Now, I do not believe this game is going to move as many console/sales than Titanfall.
It is a hardcore action game and in my opinion it will have less impact than FPS these days, the target audience is just smaller.

That being said, the game will sell more than 1 million for sure.

The fanbase of the Souls games is relatively small, but very loyal and hardcore. The fact that Bloodborne is only on the PS4 will entice the fanbase to get the system to play the game. If advertised right, the game can sell even more and consequently, move more hardware sales.

You can't be serious here. I can let it slide with the gameplay because it isn't everyones cup of tea but the art dirrection, immersion and graphics talk is crazy. All of that looks fantastic in this game and immersion has always been among the best when it comes to the Souls games.

To be honest if the game retains it's hard difficulty (which I fully expect it too) then I don't see it becoming a big hit among the casuals. I think 500k is a good estimate, but I wouldn't call that huge.

Casuals don't matter. Dark Souls sold 2.3 mil+ across the three platforms and Dark Souls 2 sold very well as well (don't know the exact number).

Just a side note, 500k is what I think it'll sell FW not Lifetime.

Oh, im sure it will, I was just commenting on the op.  He said it would have a massive impact on software sales, and then said it will sell at least 500k... Kind of contradictory statements...

At least is not the same as at most. I'm Just staying on the safe side when I said over 500k.

Well, you cant say it is going to have a massive impact and then stay on safe side... I mean, you could at least say 1 million, becuse I think that is pretty safe...

After considering it, I think you're right about the one million. iirc, inFAMOUS second son did 1 million first week.

They kind of do though. I have a few friends who bought demon/dark souls due to reputation and just never finished them. The amount of internet hype around them sells more copies, but not everyone ends up becoming a fan.

it reminds me of vampire hunter D

Honestly if you guys just could see the footage that was showed behind closed door at E3. You would become believers as well. I think I will move between 250k and 350k new consoles and 1.4 million games in the first week. Combined numbers of +- 1.7 million.
