Forums - Sony - Bloodborne is a system seller. Here is why.

I agree. Souls fanbase is groing fast and their are extremely loyal.

Plus, they make a big word of mouth.

Around the Network

demon souls was one my top 5 games on ps3, waiting this one a lot, and my 4 friend who was watching E3 with me is interessed per the game, i think this can be a better system seller than titanfall because its not on PC or last gen console.

Dark Souls and Demon Souls were in my top ten games of last generation so will be picking this up day one.

The Souls series have a medium but dedicated fan-base for their games and will likely sell between 400k to 800k consoles because of the title.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

It's not a big system seller. But Sony is definetely scoring a goal with it's fanbase.

Souls games definitely have a hardcore rabid fanbase. And to them, it will deffo move consoles.

How many? IDK. 500k sounds reasonable, but is that really all that big in the larger situation? The gap in the US is already knocking on 1M, and will probably be a lot larger by early 2015.

Of course, this could surprise us and pull in a larger fanbase this time, as the graphics look like they will be a HUGE step up from the past games in the series.

Great games though they may be, the Souls series has always looked basically like they were sloppily ported off of a PS2. Even on PC they look like total garbage. They are probably the best argument for gameplay >>> graphics of all time. And now we will have gameplay ++++++++++++ graphics :D (for those that like it).

How is it an argument for "Gameplay over graphics"?  Better graphics would suck you into the world's of the series' even moreso than now.  You do realize that graphics make up part of a game, and therefore part of the gameplay... right?  They don't fight each other lol.

No they don't fight, but according to the vast majority of Souls games fans, they loved them and didn't care that the graphics were average at best compared to the usual AAA fare.

Would you rather have an average game with exceptional graphics, or an exceptional game with average graphics?

In a perfect world we'd have exceptional games with exceptional graphics, but those are rare indeed.

Massive impact on software sales... But only 500k sold? I dont know if I would call that massive...

I certainly have no interest in the game, but if people are excited about it, more power to them!

Demon's Souls has 1.69m and Dark Souls PS3 version has 1.79m.  Dark Souls 2 PS3 has .89m.  This game should get 500k in its first week and easily hit 1m LTD.

Its overhyped that's why .
