If anything the game is under hyped. Games like Watch Dogs and MK8 are games that are over hyped.

How about?

It will sell well because it is from From Software, and they have earned their reputation and fan base for their particular brand of RPG games and this will be a fresh new IP from them with new and familiar elements mixing together.

the souls fanbase is quite fanatical and loyal. i imagine all souls fans will be on ps4 will be there for bloodborne's launch. however, the souls audience is quite hardcore and will for the most part already have a ps4 by then just like me. there will be a boost but not too much imo.

It's a Souls game. It has one of the most rabid fanbases of any franchise out there. Getting this game exclusive was a major win for Sony.

So far it looks like a normal action adventure. 3 days should be enough. But that's all big talk. I probably won't even spend as much for a rental. PS+ would be nice.

day one for me

Ill be honest, I don't own a ps4 I didn't see a reason to buy one. After seeing Bloodborne I immediately ordered the white ps4. This game blew my mind.

You have no idea what you're getting yourself into.

The fans of this game are incredibly dedicated to the games in this series, but the fan base isn't massive. It will sell a decent amount, but I don't think it will sell tons of units. I hope I'm wrong though! Souls series is probably my favorite. Bloodborne is in my top 5 for games I'm most excited for currently.
