500k for Bloodborne??? That seems extremely low to me, every Souls has handily outsold that. I'm personally predicting 2.5mil.

I meant 500k for the first week :P  that would be horrible if it only sold 500k lifetime lol. Lifetime I can see it doing 2.0-2.5 million, so yeah I agree with your number.

I would consider 500k something of a disappointment. It would represent less than a third of what demon's and dark souls sold on ps3 by themselves, and I suspect dark souls 2 will eventually reach similar numbers as the prior games as well. Of course the difficulty is that the install base isn't going to be anywhere near that of the prior gen's games, so that could hold it back, and while the souls games do have a rather loyal--and vocal--fanbase, it is still fairly niche. Still, I think it should be able to break 1 mil, may take it a while to reach that though.

I wonder if I will like it. ill be a rental option for me.

2.7 for a rpg is not small, thats bigger then the witcher................. It has gotten more popular the last few years, and sony will market this, it will move systems.

Umm no the witcheer is not a big selling franchie either despite it's quality, rpg's not named skyrim, fallout or Final fantays don't sell 5 -10 million, souls is a fairly large rpg franchise.  It's quality is as good as any rpg on the market, and it has a dedicated following and is well known.

It will move hardware in Japan that's for sure. Japan is probably the largest market for the Dark Souls games now.

I think most people are basing witcher 3's upcoming sales off the hype levels its currently at, not past success of the series. As seen with watch dogs massive hype = great sales.

This game will be a system seller. Not a massive system seller, but it will help move a few thousand consoles simply because of FromSoftware making the game.

It'll push out good JP numbers :D
