Another full year of development could do wonders for this game. No point in rushing it IMO, especially since 2015 seems to have a lot of games. Make it a September or October game for next year.

It would also potentially benefit from the momentum that 2015 may create for the Wii U.

while i don't have high hopes for this game i can see it develop a cult following

There's a reason it wasn't shown on ninty's original livestream.

Poor STEAM. And Mario Party. And Fantasy Life. And...

Right conclusion, poor reasoning. C-

It looked like total crap when I saw it on IGN, then on the treehouse, still looked ugly and buggy, but what I heard about the multiplayer, clans, assaulting castles etc. really picked my interest.

It has my curiosity but not my attention. Still not expecting much from it.

And seriously, why the hell isn't the shooting in 3rd person. That's just about the most moronic design choice I've ever seen.

I hate to be cynical on games on any level but I don't see this game being good. I bet it will sell extremely poorly and I don't believe it would have even sold well on the PS3/360.

Some of the action is in 3rd person (including some shooting weapons).  However, I don't think it's dumb to have a 3rd person game use 1st person shooting.  I am almost certain that the reason they did this is so you can have a hybrid between a FPS and an action game.  You can't really have a good action fighting game with a 1st person POV, and 3rd person POV for shooting provides less accuracy than 1st person POV.

Looking better. While i'm really not the guy to get obsessed over multiplayer shooters, it is an itch that needs scratching once in a blue moon. The Conduit games filled that void last gen (like i said, i don't need much, not saying they were more than ho-hum), this and Splatoon could do well for me next year.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

That's not true at all. And FPS in a 3rd person action game is jarring. I dunno. I don't like when game designers mess with point of view like that.
