Forums - Sales - Is it Possible For PS4 To Win June NPD?... I Believe So!

It should be an interesting month regardless of the outcome. Personally, I think PS4 will just edge out the XB1 but it'll be close. If the PS4 wins by a significant amount than MS is going to have to respond quick.

PS4 will win (all regions), but the margins (especially in US, not so much at all in Japan) will be smaller. Despite the Titanfall bundle not doing much for X1, I think the price cut will make it competitive in the states once again, because people don't care about perceived "value" that the companies say their product has. They didn't care about PS3's value (Blu Ray player, backwards compatibility at launch, all types of inputs, etc), because the price tag was too high. Same with X1 and Kinect. Now that that difference has been eliminated, I see the X1 getting a resurgence in the US because of how strong the brand was the last gen and for the simple fact that now price won't sway people's wallets towards PS4.

BTW, I am a PS4 owner and even though I am not brand loyal, I've owned every mainline PS console (and PSP but not Vita, yet). I still think X1 has a chance in the US now, because price does matter to the average consumer who doesn't go on video game internet forums.

What else do they have?

Waiting for a single game (Halo 5) sounds like the beginnings of another Wii U.

Looks like a pretty close fight, with Xbox One slightly outperforming the PS4 in Walmart and Gamestop.

Sadly, those lists are all (most likely) by the hour/daily, so those results may switch places quite a bit .  I'm pretty sure Amazon is the only one who actually breaks it down into monthly/yearly sales.  I wish others will start doing this, as it would help knowing the true trends.

@ OP

There is a very good shot of the PS4 winning.  Even in March, which saw a subsidized price cut at all major retailers, effectively making the One cheaper than the PS4+game, and the inclusion of one of the most hyped games of this gen, the PS4 outsold the One by a comfortable 60K.  If the One does win, it will most likely be because the PS4 is seeing a normal sales drop for the summer, with some people waiting on special bundles.  While the One is seeing a slight boost thanks to the price cut.  Even if it does win, I doubt it will be by much more than 20K.  Then, the following months sales will drop drastically, and we'll see the PS4 again beating it by 50K-100K.

Alot of evidence points out to PS4 outselling the One for June NPD. Sony is on their hustle selling all those PS4's getting exclusive bundles, Watch Dogs, Destiny and possibly GTA V. Microsoft needs to get more competitive, they did try that with Titanfall it did give a valueable boost but nothing to substancial. Ultimately i feel HALO 5 bundle is jus what MS needs to secure a NPD win heck. They should bundle Master Chief Collection with the kinectless Xbox One console, so far its selling pretty good. http://www.amazon.com/bestsellers/2014-06/videogames#1 btw people this June 2014 and this a monthly sales overall, MC collection was just recently announced and is #14 on that list MS needs to jump on that bundle pronto.

They should pimp MC collection to help sell the Xbox one, i am sure someone in marketting and logistics is making this happen as we speak.

Who knows. Halo 5 is too far to wait though.  I always thought that they should have made the kinectless Xbox 350.  They'll have to be aggressive with bundling probably.

Is it possible?! I am sure it will.

More "it is possible for xboxone to win ANY Npd before Xmas 2015".

She will only sold less and less systems month after month, until she finally got her big game, Halo 5.

Before that, i don't see how she can sold more than ps4...except if sony production stop maybe.
