Forums - Gaming - Even the Playstation TV is outselling the $399.99 Xbox One

We already know the PS4 is greatly outselling the Kinect-less One, but even the Playstation TV is outselling it on Amazon. The PS TV, which is essentially a Vita (very poor sales compared to the One), has managed to climb up to the 11th spot as of this post, and the $399 Xbox One is number 50.

Now, Amazon alone isn't the greatest indicator of overall sales, but this can't be good for Microsoft when a Vita without a screen outsells it this bad.

Should Microsoft have stressed the $399 pricepoint more? It seems like the Xbox One is losing traction in the US market, even without the Kinect.

The funniest thing was the gamestop interview. The guy said they're flying off the shelves I look on gamestops website and the bundle is like 3 pages in and only 4 spots ahead of the PS4. There were PS3 bundles that were ahead of the X1.

Now maybe thier best sellers section isn't very accurate I don't know I just thought that was funny. The guy completely lost all credibility though when he said the X1 w/kinect was "very vibrant". We know for a fact that the X1 with Kinect has horrible sales trying to hide it only makes his whole statement look sketchy.

Very good points I totally agree.

Not good for Xbox One.

How many Amazon threads are we going to have?

This is now AmazonChartz.com

I'm just gonna wait to see how the new SKU impacts weekly sales. I hear the Vita was #1 on Amazon at one point. How'd that turn out?

When the Vita was brand new, sure. The $399 bundle is brand new as well, and it's still suffering.

Amazon, as I mentioned, isn't a great indicator of overall sales. But it certainly shows sales trends, and is the best real-time indicator for that, since you can see how things are doing hourly through one of the biggest retailers.

This is the second Amazon thread, from what I can tell. The first was just about how the Xbox One was just doing poorly in general. This is a lot about how the Vita TV is actually taking off.

Software is also interesting.

The $150 The Order Premium Edition is higher than every single X1 software apart from Masterchief Collection, and has reached a higher position than X1 without Kinect ever did.

I haven't seen any adverts about MS dropping Kinect in the UK

I've seen a few adverts, including some during the England games.

I've watched all the England games and didn't notice them. Maybe I was making a cup of tea or something

Weekly sales will be a much better indication of "suffering".

Furthermore, the Vita TV was just announced. How was the $399 X1 trending when it was announced?

YES!  I was so surprised to not hear them bring up the $399 Xbox at E3.  Instead they continue to make commercials with people using Kinect and continue to show games with Kinect in their conferences.  It's really a 2 way message right now.  They're still trying to cling to the Kinect is essential ideal yet they moved on without it.

Vita TV was actually "announced" months ago, we just didn't know if it would come to the U.S. The $399 One was announced months ago as well, and it's just become available. The $399.99 Xbox One preorders still couldn't beat the PS4, from what I remember.

But you are right, we will see better from weekly sales. When a console is #50 even after a price cut, that's never good.

Well I wish we could see how the $399 X1 was performing the day it was announced.

Either way, safe bet it ranked higher.
