Forums - Gaming Discussion - Has the bar been set low for Nintendo to steal the show?

I've been sitting here thinking about what I just saw. Sony slogged on through the middle of their presentation with TV shit at a gaming show. Microsoft didn't really impress me personally, but at least they didn't slog on about TV as much as Sony.

The table is now set. Does Nintendo win best in show by default at this point, as long as they don't screw up, or will they be legitimately impressive? Do they come out and flop or do they hit the ground running?

I still say that with the relatively bland show so far, Nintendo can come out looking like a billion bucks if they have some good release dates, a decent surprise, and some good Zelda U and Retro Metroid footage.

The bar been set low? Have you been asleep the whole day?

Its wide open for them, providing they have some big surprises.

All they need to show is Zelda U, and they've won. Seriously.

Microsoft was okay, but nothing special, and Sony had a few highlights (mostly from multiplats mind you), but was overral a disappointment.

We will see how they do tomorrow.... Hopefully people will leave the fanboyism at the door before going into the press conference but we will see... Remember, Nintendo is doing 3 things at this e3

1) Digital Event
2) Smash Bros Tournament
3) Treehouse thing

So we will see how they do tomorrow, Nintendo has been known to fuck shit up but they have also been known to have the greatest e3s as well... Just One footage of Zelda U and if they make Zelda U like the one shown on e3. I will wet my panties so hard

Maybe my opinion has been colored by the fact that sony could have marketed the middle of their conference as a sleep aid.

Something may have put him to sleep, maybe.

Still, don't get too cocky, OP. As I said to someone else, Nintendo knows how to bring the best to a conference, but they also know how to completely ruin one. Just wait till you start shouting from the rooftops.

They show Zelda, X, Bayo, Pokemon, Smash, 3DS exclusives, and a few new Wii U games and they would have easily surpassed both Sony and MS.

I hardly consider Sony and Microsoft's conferences a low bar. Moreso, the fact that probably not even half of those multi-platform games showcased today will be on the Wii-U means that Nintendo has to do even more to impress.

I think Nintendo will be pretty much on par. They will lack quantity, that is for sure.
