Zelda Williams confirmed for MS conference

You ripped that off of another user!

He actually ripped from me considering I have been saying since superchunk's thread that she could be on stage at the MS conference for the Halo 5 demo. She likes Halo.

So actually this is advertising themselves?

"Hey guys OOT is the best game of all time... Someone named Zelda likes Halo."

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

I think Xbox is just appreciating a classic series. Nothing really wrong with that.

LMAO @ the Xbone fans calling LoZ on Xbox confirmed.

This is pretty simple, really. It's a calculated move to make people believe Xbox is on the side of gamers and that they care about games above business and corporate politics. It falls right in line with their current PR direction.

Honestly, not a bad move right before E3. Their entire strategy is going to center around humanizing the Xbox division and presenting it as gamer-friendly. Spencer's mug will be plastered all over the internet as the face of Xbox. He'll be their John Cena.

This sums it up. In my opinion, it took MS long enough to act gamer-friendly but I can't help but think they're overdoing it this time. It's too unnatural.

I can't say if it's sincere or not but it's definitely an intentional PR initiative.  Being "for games" has been Spencer's main talking point over the last several weeks.  Microsoft recognized that there was a real disconnect going on with gamers and the Xbox One.  Better late than never, I suppose.  I think that also had a lot to do with Spencer's appointment; they realized that he was someone gamers would trust and respect above a suit without a gaming background.  They wanted their own Yoshida.

It's really amazing to me that they're doing so much right after doing so much wrong.

I think they are talking about it because....well, they like games!  And Nintendo isn't really competition to them right now.

Btw, Phil Spencer congradulated Sony on TLOU when it came out.

Zelda Williams at Microsoft conference.

Not what everyone was expecting!

It could very well be that, she actually mentioned something about it... still this tweet/question seems unrelated

I agree, but just imagine how the internet (especially GAF) would explode if the next major Zelda game was anounced as a joint X1+Wii U exclusive as part of a long term partenership between Microsoft and Nintendo.

That's a little strange to be honest.
