To be honest after an initial burst of playtime when I bought it I did leave it unused for a while. I could have probably bought it one year later and I wouldn't have missed much (about 30 hours play time in the first year of ownership, honestly).
But then I bought Zelda U and 3D World last Christmas, which were a good blast, and now Mario Kart 8 already has 14 hours play time on my console in less than a week, and I can see myself returning to my old games soon too. So it had a slow start for me, but it's really starting to pay dividends now.
For the record, my PS4 is going through a similar cycle. Haven't played it in months. But The Last Of Us HD and Uncharted 4 will change that when they drop.

Well I had almost 55 hours in 3D World after 8 or 9 days...

That just means I have too much extra time.

I'm not. Not yet anyway. I recently bought 3D World though so that may help to change my mind, course as soon as a good Pokemon game releases for Wii U I'll be happy with it as well.

Get Wind Waker HD if you haven't. It's a huge improvement over the GameCube version IMO. You don't really get it until you actually play the game!

I'll be getting it soon as my free Mario Kart 8 game

I hope you enjoy it then! The Swift Sail makes the original Wind Waker unplayable to me!

Have a WiiU...happy with my purchase. Very excited for what Nintendo will announce at E3...

Really want to know what Nintendo's stance will be regarding the lack of 3rd party support. Honestly, it wouldn't bother me in the least if they just came out and said...ok, folks...looks like we're just a 1st party machine from here on out. I guess I have enough other hobbies/responsibilities in my life that I can wait between the quality releases Nintendo makes.
