"Conversion of kinetic energy to heat is physically modelled to accurately render the temperature and glow colour of brake discs."

I see no point in this (and many others like it). A lot of this seems like it is simply for bragging rights.

But how else does a car game difference itself from lots of other car games. Lots of people who play these games (not me I might add) are very anal about feeling they are driving a proper car and that its realistic. So yeah it probably is for bragging rights... thats petrol heads for you :)

this will definitely be the best looking racing game for 2014... hopefully gameplay also get at least a well score...

you are very smart, i am convinced by your point of view now

you made me sorry I ever thought 60 fps was available or even achievable for console racing games

Did i hurt your feelings or something? I must've for you to get personal like that. I would be sorry if i was you, for your baiting comments contribute little to this forum.

again, you are right, i am heartbroken

i never thought the internet was so full of facts and good people willing to defend them

let it be known that you were right and i was wrong as 60 fps racing games on consoles is all but a dream

next time i will be like you, contributing hard facts such as "You can't find 60fps racers on console anyways" so that people learn from my mistake

You do a poor job of making sarcasm sound effective, not when it's plain that you've been agitated. Myself and others have already pointed out how non sensical your first claim was. You can keep defending it, but without arguments they'll stay the empty claims they were. Calling somebody else "correct" and "smart" shows that you have nothing to say back, yet feel embarrassed for being coreected in such a way.

it's not sarcasm, i can assure you

you ARE smart and your argument is flawless : there is absolutely no 60 fps racing games on consoles

I don't understand why you don't believe me ? how can the obvious truth seem doubtful to you ?

The attention to detail and graphics seem to be top-notch! Hopefully the gameplay will also be great!

As much as I love those small details I'd rather see Polyphony focus on their driving, more different cars, AI and the career system. Polyphony never dissapoint but the more I read into the level of details they put in DC the more I think they should've spent more time with what's relevant and that's the cars and handling... sure the environment is important but at some point, some details become useless... was this game delayed to add wet leaves and 3D clouds? Will these make it a better game with only 50 cars? I mean, maybe a little more talk on the handling and less on the subtle graphics would be appreciated... I hope at E3 we will see more of what the gameplay is about than how many trees there are in the mountain.

Don't take this as a rant, more like questions that needs to be answered before talking about those small details. My bro is getting a PS4 next month and I will be interested in buying games, but if the handling and career mode are lacking, no amount of details will push me to purchase when the title will be given for free.

Driceclub isn't made by Polyphony Digital.  Driveclub is made by Evolution Studios.

Yeah I read my post again and it's confusing lol I know who Polyphony and Evolution are and never intended on mixing them haha... What I meant in this post was that I would prefer Polyphony to focus on what's important and less on subtle graphical prowess like Evolution is doing. All we hear about this game is how good the graphics will be but not much about how it will play... gameplay>graphics imo

I actually love it, it pushes Kazunori to be even more obsessed with attention to detail.  He hasn't actually had competition w/in the Sony exclusivity platform, in awhile.  And even though there are still clear differences between GT's direction and DC's, you just know that PD's going to be taking note.

Explains the low car count (50). So much time went to the little details. Track count is awesome, though.

Wow, you ARE hurt. What other reason would have you repeat how smart you think i am otherwise? Is that the topic of this discussion? Fact is you are putting words in my mouth to try and redicule my argument, when there would be no need for that were you able to discuss respectfully.

Alright, enough of this now please. Stealth baiting comments such as this one (and some above) aren't needed nor wanted here.

That goes for everyone, however.
