I really only need a single console per gen and ofcourse I'll choose the one that has the most interesting looking games.

Just not interested in their games anymore.

I have one, personally having both and PS4 and a Wii U is optimal, imo. Nintendo simply has the best games.

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Nintendo haven't been putting out the software to get me interested in it. Honestly, Pikmin 3 is the biggest factor making me want a WiiU right now, but on its own that's really not much of a sway.

I did want LEGO City Undercover, but I've kinda gone off the idea after having played a few other recent LEGO games (they're alright, but not something I'd consider worth buying a console for; more like something I'd pick up in a bargain bin for £8 and get a few days of enjoyment out of).

And third parties aren't doing anything on the machine. I'm not even talking about multi-plats - they're there, but I can buy them all already on PS3 (or will be able to on PS4 when I get that). I'm talking about the nicher stuff that made the Wii interesting. Little King's Story. Fragile Dreams. Muramasa. Throw in a few exclusive spinoffs of series I love (i.e. SSX Blur; FF Crystal Chronicles) and then we'd be talking.

WiiU has none of this already and none of it on the horizon. X may be the second thing I want to play on WiiU, but that's still only 2 games. I'd probably pick up Mario Kart if I bought the console, but it's not swaying me towards it particularly.

Nintendo would have to dig out some of their other IP's (Star Fox/F-Zero/Battalion Wars) or, even better, make something unique and new and exciting targeted at me and then I'd be more likely to jump on board. Or 3rd parties (particularly Japanese ones), could fill in the gaps with a library of JRPG's and weird, niche, interesting stuff.

(Conversely, they've done pretty much everything right with doing this on 3DS and that's why it's going to be the next console that I buy)

So no. It's nothing to do with power.

Compelling software is the only thing stopping me from buying it. After E3 I'm quite sure I'll have no choice but to buy the Wii U. (To many good games coming out for it not to buy it)

I don't want one. That's what's stopping me.

Its the games that appeal to me. Apart from zelda no nintendo first party game attracts me. One the other hand I prefer sony's first party games.

lol, nice one gooch

lol cow-pie.

I think for alot of people the games from Nintendo are just uninspired, they are still brilliant and i still enjoy them, but i can see for alot of people its just another Mario, or another Zelda, or another Pokemon.

Price drop and games like X and the next Zelda to come out is what I want before I buy it. PS4 does everything it does and more. I need those exclusives to justify the purchase.
