Now that MK8 is here, I thought it would be a good idead to vote which Mario Kart was the best. I added Mario Kart 8 only for people that have played it. If you haven't played  it yet, please don't judge it because you haven't tried it yet. I'll have to go for now with Mario Kart: Double Dash. I think it was a huge influence on Mario Kart. It was the first to have unlockable charcters, the first to have more than 1 battle mode, the only to have 3 different battle modes, the first to have more that 8 charcters, introduced the canon that launches you to another side of the course, the only to have an All Cup Tour mode where you can play every course, and I could go on. Please comment your favorite Mario Kart and please give you're reasons for it. (Btw I don't know if someone else has done something like this recently. Sorry if someone has)

I'm going to add my thoughts on each Mario Kart

SMK- Good start to series, derseves more than what it gets because it started it all

MK64- Amazing start to 3D Mario Kart, good tracks, good charcter roster, amazing start to 4 player multplayer.

MKSC- Personally my least favorite but had a the SNES tracks and other than the original, it was the only to have 20 new tracks compared to 16 in most MK.

MKDD- Had great tracks even though most were short. The rest.. I already stated why.

MKDS- Made Super Circut look lame because it was a handheld as well. Introduced Retro Tracks and online to MK.

MKW- Had the Wii Wheel, had outstanding online, big character roster, most tracks were a joy, good Retro tracks.

MK7- Great online and good charcter roster, was amazed when they announced gliders and under water portions. Tracks are really good.

MK8- Tried the demo and it was great but can't say much but than graphics were superb and characters and the 8 tracks they had on the demo was so cool!

Sadly, I haven't played MK8 yet, so I will have to go with Mario Kart DS! The blue shells were so damn annoying, but on the other hand the tracks were so awesome! The online also worked pretty well!

I've played almost all of them, and I think 8 is the best. I didn't play super circuit.

MK8! Excellent visuals thats like sex for your eyes, excellent soundtrack that is like orgasm for your ears and the online is really good! And on top of that, I can't stop playing it! I mean, when you have to choose between Fap and MK8 and you choose MK8, you know that this game is doing something right loll

You didn't miss out on that much! It was a weird hybrid between SMK and MK64!

True, I can't use my 450 Euro high end In-ears because the endless eargasms distract too much from the gameplay. I'm not even joking, I get goose bumps all the time.

It's produced like those audiophile reference disks and maybe the best Nintendo soundtrack ever.

Mario kart 64.

Well, i probably enjoyed mario 64 the most. Mostly because i was in middle school when it came out and was perfect for playing with friends.

However, mk8 is probably the best, technically speaking. Although I dont think it is that much different than mario kart wii. The hd visuals is the biggest difference, the gravity thing doesnt actually change much in practice...
