Hey, I'm sorry but that is the most likely explanation imo and if that bothers some people then I can't do anything about that. This week will still be the strongest week for the Wii U in a long time and people can be happy about that, I just think that a couple people have some pretty unrealistic expectations for MK8s ability to move Wii Us.

Almost everyone in line at Gamestop I went to for my preorder was there for MK and a lot of them reserved Smash for 3DS or Wii U.  They had a decent amount of copies and a little poster for people who preordered.

The Wii U is having its day in the sun, hope it becomes a week, month and then year. It even briefly went ahead of PS4 on amazon.co.uk earlier today.

I was on Club Nintendo site trying to register game and the site crashed due to everyone trying to register their game. I had no clue that the promotion was for USA also and that you only had to buy the game (thought it was only for the bundle system package). I suppose I'll either get NSMBU or Pikmin 3.

Seems like the same pattern as when the NSMBU bundle first came out, stores did not order very many right away and some people were claiming low inventory. I remember the thread about it.

all stores on my city are sold out rigth now, no bundle anymore, no game :(

My local EB games was sold out of Mario Kart 8 by 10am.
Thank god I had a copy pre-ordered at JB Hifi...

Bought mario kart 8 at target after work (around 330ish), I literally got the last one available and another person was in line behind me trying to get a copy as well.

Not many Mario Kart 8 copies, but plenty of Wii U's where I live
