Forums - Nintendo - Mario Kart 8 Bundle sold out at gamestops around me

I just know that everybody on my friend list is playing MK8 lol.

Same here. Luckily I have my copy of Mario kart and  my Wii U. Best buy had no bundles yesterday though and also had no steering wheels. Sold out or bad stocking? Not sure but the shelf where it was marked was empty.

Yep, I checked yesterday afternoon before I went to work and about 14/15 people that were online were playing MK.

The stock must have been very low, amirite?

I was the one that was not. Sorry to mess up your perfect straight.

I was probably playing Color Zen or Luv Me Buddies.

I thought you were having fun playing My Farm.

The Walmart here had plenty in stock when I went in the evening. They also had plenty of the of the NSMBU bundle. Also, the clerk working had no clue that it had even came out, or that it even existed (or that the Wii-u is even a thing)...

High traffic volumes on Club Nintendo site still which makes it a little more difficult to redeem code for free game.

Point of the story, some Wal-mart staff is undertrained and unkownledgable of the products they help to sell. Then again, I'm in Canada so employee standards at Wal-mart are considerably higher.

I've never met a person who didn't know what a Wii U was. It's always "that new Nintendo".

All of the available stores in my area say low stock. Maybe they didn't have a whole lot of stock to begin with?

Most likely. Let's be real here, this is still the Wii U, stores will not have suddenly ordered dozens of those bundles. If I had to guess then I'd say that they maybe have 2-3 (maybe some more depending on the location) bundles per store, aside from the ones needed to fill pre orders.

I pre-ordered at Simth's. Saw their list... twenty bundles pre-ordered and eighteen games. I'm in Ireland.
