SEGA REVEALS NEW SONIC BOOM CHARACTER NAMED STICKS

Sticks, a wild jungle badger with a boomerang, is the newest addition to Sonic Boom.
SEGA announced today that the brand-new female character will join Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in Sonic Boom, which was revealed earlier this year as a fresh branch of the Sonic franchise, spanning a TV series, Wii U and 3DS game, as well as a toy line. Sticks is part of the core ensemble of Sonic Boom, with Amy being her best friend.
Sticks is a significant addition to the Sonic Boom universe and the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise,” said Hiroyuki Miyazaki, chief content officer for the Sonic brand at SEGA of America. “She brings a quirky personality and perspective to the team dynamic, and we look forward to sharing this energetic and funny new character with the world.”
The Sonic Boom TV show debuts during the 2014-15 season on Cartoon Network in the United States and on CANAL J and GULLI in France. The Sonic Boom game for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS is a prequel to the TV series, developed by Big Red Button Entertainment and Sanzaru Games.
