By my knowledge they haven't made a remake of the 'third game' for any previous generation, but who knows, there's a first for everything.
Would be interesting for the 3rd version to get a remake, but since ORAS is going to include elements from Emerald anyway, wouldnt it have to be a true sequel like B2/W2 was to B/W?

I hope not. Sapphire and Ruby is enough for right now. Plus they never did it with Yellow, or Crystal. I'm thinking they are saving the 3rd game for a new system. Would love Pokemon Yellow remake for 4DS. And then it keep following suit for Crystal and then Emerald!

I'd cry. Emerald was my first handheld Pokemon game. I'd much rather that than the other two.
I think nintendo would've been better off jusr doing an emerald remake than both ruby and sapphire
