They're still the parent organisation and have power in the situation, nothing will happen to PSG that will affect them in any significant way, I can promise that.

He is facing inferioir teams but he plays against competitive teams in the champions league so if they can build something there they've got something. Monaco are growing and have a lot of money and constantly find stars and Marseille are on the rise as well, in 10 years Ligue 1 could become a force again.

I thought the same, but buying a player for 200 million, making a butt tonne of money off of him and improving your club competitively making you more money and after 4 years of service selling him for 100 million at least is pretty good business in the long run.

Facing inferior teams won't help them build anything it will be like the Greek teams from a decade ago where it was Olympiakos playing in the CL every season but not doing that well because the teams they're playing every week aren't that competitive compared to them. Monaco have had money for a while and are becoming a stepping stone club where you put yourself in the shop window for other clubs and players clearly seem to be playing to that, in 10 years the L1 will be in the same spot it is now because it's been in the same static position for 2 decades now all the potential but never close to ever being tapped.

They're not going to make a tonne of money off him that's the point, this isn't Man Utd who sell shirts from UK to Timbuktu and have even Eskimos watching their games this is PSG, not as many people in Europe follow the French league let alone the world and most people who will be aware of them outside of the French themselves will only catch them on the odd CL match if they're facing one of the big fish or if the are no other interesting matches on and that's the sad truth. That 200m is not going to translate into breaking even or profit.

Keiran Gibbs to West Brom for £7m... that's a bargain.

Yep. Compare PSG, Monaco and Marseille etc growing into a bigger league in 10 years to a Ukrainian league that has never been big.

No club makes a lot of money from shirt sales that's a myth. Clubs get 10% of the money from shirt sales so even if Neymar makes 100 million in shirt sales they get 10 million back which is chump change. Neymar makes money because it grows PSG as a club, they will get more fans from around the world that will want to watch them and cable stations over years will see the demand rise and ligue 1 gets more money from TV rights. Neymar is the most marketable player in the world, PSG will be able to get more sponserships who will want to be affiliated with him. That's where the money comes from. Being a more global club means making more money from tours, PSG can't go to china and australia the club isn't big enough but as the years go on their fanbase globally will grow.

All of your points are literally things that could change. PSG at the very least could make 25 million per year from deals for 4 years then sell him for 100 million if things aren't working out. 28 year old neymar for 100 million in this market is a bargain.

If you don't think they could make more than 25 million a year from him then I think the conversation is over there.

West Brom is also looking into buying Krychowiak from PSG, it seems like they are serious about remaining a top-half team!

It is when Arsenal turned down a £10 Million bid for him in July.

Err can you not read who said anything about Ukraine or any of their teams for the matter.

Teams like United have billions of fans I'm willing to bet 10% of sales from that is more than what many teams make from sponsors and all, only teams like United and Madrid get bumper sponsorhips which net them hundreds of millions a year Neymar is not going to get PSG that sorry that's a pipe dream on your end, PSG have a long way to go before they even come close to the global status of these teams, even teams like Barcelona and Liverpool aren't there and they're world famous a status PSG won't have for a long while.

Neymar has moved to France and most fans of the sport won't care they'll continue following the more well known clubs regardless, that's how football has been for decades.

How have you calculated 25m? The conversation is most likely over because you won't be able to explain this part, making money means to offset losses and make profit his wage alone would eat up that 25m a year.

Sorry I meant Greek league. My point still stands.

Of course they have a long way to go. I never said they didn't. All of my conversation has been talking about how this can affect them for years to come. PSG is a company that will be around for a very long time, they don't think short term.

You really think people haven't tuned in to watch Neymar in his matches for PSG? Really?

I never calculated it, I'm saying it's not ridiculous to say extra deals where they can use Neymar as the face of the club, sponsorships, merch sales etc. That could easily come up to 25 million at least in a year.

But nevermind you're obviously right. The massive corperation of PSG have no idea what they're doing and threw away 200 million without any way of thinking of how they could make their money back no way having such a big player could increase them in any meaningful way, man if only you were on their board.
