Sunshine was very boring, and I didn't bother to finish it. Super Mario 64 is a more superior game.

I preferred Sunshine, in fact i think a HD remake with the original bugs polished out etc, Sunshine HD would be the version we should have played 12 years ago. I think it was a top tier Mario game, if a little rushed.

I agree, Super Mario 64 is far superior in every way. At least every way possible (so obviously not the graphics).

FLUDD in Sunshine ruins a lot of the platforming in the game. Where something took clever thinking and skill in 64, it only took simple hovering to reach places in Sunshine. When the bonus-levels, where FLUDD got taken away, are better than the regular levels, you know something's wrong. It's not a bad game, and I still beat it once, but for a 3D Mario, it's massively underwhelming. The best part of the game was the open world, and that the levels were actually part of that bigger world.

Super Mario 64 is easily the better game! Sunshine felt like it was cheaply-made!

Sunshine is an excellent game, but Super Mario 64 is a masterpiece. As much as I love both, they're really not in the same ballpark.

Super Mario 64 vs. Galaxy...now that would be a heavyweight fight :)

Super Mario Sunshine... people are always complaining about how every Mario game feels like the same thing. Sunshine is way different than most Mario games. People were bitching (and still are) about how Nintendo needs a new IP. We got Luigi's Mansion. Then people bitched about how it didn't feel like a Mario game. People were bitching about how Nintendo needed a Mario game that was different (and they still are). They made Super Mario Sunshine and guess what... people bitched how it didn't feel like a Mario game! I'm giving a standing ovation to Nintendo for doing what people wanted and actually making it. Probably why they don't make the games different anymore because people would bitch. Huh! sorry for all the language! but still i was just making a point. Super Mario 64 is close to beating Sunshine because it was the first 3D Mario game and was revolutionary. So yea... I vote Super Mario Sunshine.
