Oops, has it been last 5 years?  I just remembered the two most recent ones (mainly dealing with Wii U projections).

Yeah, the last time they hit or beat their initial forecast was the one they made in April 2008 for the fiscal year ending March 2009.  Since then their forecasts have projected over 52 million more units than they actually sold.

I am so annoyed by people saying this. Let's flash back to one year ago. Everyone said "The Wii U will make a huge comeback. Once Pikmin 3, 3D World, and W101 come out all of its problems will be solved." Now here we are. The Wii U's sales are just as bad. Every time a new Wii U game comes out everybody gets excited, but they are always disappointed. I'm rooting for the Wii U as much as you guys are. It's a great system with great games. But we have to be realistic, Wii U sales will never get significantly better.
Hate as much as you want!

No hate.  But I don`t know anyone that said Wii U will make a huge comeback with Pikmin 3, 3DW and W101.

I do think MK8 will spur sales, and depending on what other actions Nintendo takes sales could increase significantly.  A price-drop and/or mild redesign, an intersting new IP, a mature Zelda and Smash could combine to turn around fortunes in a hurry.  Will they all happen... not sure, but they remain a possibility.

I respect your opionion. But honestly, I think almost all of the people who are looking forward to those games already own a Wii U. There were a lot of peple who thought the Wii U would be saved after holidays 2013. I think part of the Wii's  success were casual gamers who aren't into gaming enough to spend $300 on a new console just to play updated versions of games they already own. We'll just have to see what happens.

That's correct.  That's why a fresh, cool Zelda, new IP's and a price reduction could make Wii U much more competitve than its present state.  People often only look backward.

And there are many more than 7 million Nintendo fans in the world.  Many will buy when MK, Zelda and other games come, and when the system is cheaper.

I didn't mean that Wii U sales would completely stop, just stay the same and end up and 20 mil or so. But whatever, I don't want this quote to gone on forever, so we'll just agree to disagree.

Wii U has competiton, 3ds not so much. Wii U has already been past DESPITE the year head start and xone nipping at its heels

And is currently sitting in second with the first just a mill & half more in sales.

you think thats something to celebrate after having a year head start. Imagine theres a race and i gave you a 30min head start and i pass you, trust me nobody would be cheering for you.

People will be cheering, cause I look goooood!  Nah, the bad press the Wii U have is damaging.  This is Nintendo's chance to right the ship and show who's boss.

It's been getting bad press cause it's been selling bad. But they do have a chance to right the ship I agree

The Wii U had bad press before it launched.

thats just a fib...xbone? THAT had bad press  before it launched.
