Panty shot.

This so much, I hope the next Ninendo EAD Tokyo Mario game is open world.
Simulations. I don't think any genre has declined quality-wise, in the seventh generation, more so than simulation.

Definitely. RPGs have started to come back but as some kind of Hunter game hybrid. The combat of X completely turned me off when I saw it, as did Ni No Kuni. If Persona 5 turns out to be the same kind of combat, I'll probably cry. |
Both Xenoblade and X are best understood as being, essentially, MMO combat systems. Albiet ones adapted to be more interactive and console-y. It's not the most enticing concept, but the depth potential is pretty immense, as Xenoblade already proved. Monster Hunter hybrids, they are not. :P
Ni No Kuni's combat was just plain bad and ultimately made me quit the game.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Jrpgs on home consoles. I need a new Dragon Quest like VIII in the new gen :D
N64/PS1 style 3D platformers. Not just indie ones, big budget productions. I've seen some indie ones lately but I also want bigger ones!
Also 2D beat-em-up. Would love a new Comix Zone, hell I'd buy a remake of it.
Yep.
