It was monumentally expensive. I think I paid $499-549 or so  for the preowned machine at the time (new were over $800 CAD due to the weak dollar vs USD)  but it was the most incredible thing I'd ever seen until the Playstation 1 and Sega Saturn came around. Need for Speed, Road Rash, Return Fire, Crash and Burn, D, Syndicate, Wing Commander and a whole wealth of other really great games. I genuinely enjoyed the machine.

I purchased a Goldstar one from a used shop for around $25 a few years ago with a few games included but haven't hooked it up yet to indulge in some nostalgia. It might not even work, heh.

From what I heard, it even had the best version of  Super Street Fighter Fighter II Turbo! The big problem was that its initial price tag put the PS3's " 599 US DOLLARS" price tag to shame!

The first console I'm pretty sure it was the PSP with a Fifa 09 bundle. For home consoles the PS3 with Motorstrom Pacific Rift.

I'm not sure about my first game since I started buying them myself with an age of 11 or 12, but even if it was "my" money I didn't earn it, since it was a gift. My 1st "kinda" job was with 15 and I remember buying GTA 3, Silent Hill 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer for the PS2 even before I got the console for christmas

I got Atari 2600 in cristmas present.. traded it in,, and put up 1000 KR (200$) on my own. And i was 11

But before that, when i was 7 years old, I (for money owned at collecing botles at concerts) i got "gren house" a Nintendo Game and watch, and i actully (for own money) got all the Game and Watch games

Nintendo 64! I can't remember the first game i bought - probably some random game boy game. The first game I bought for the N64 was Super Mario 64.
