I disliked KIU at first because of the controls, then loved it in the end. Deserved more sales and scores. But didn't Skyward Sword score incredibly well with the new controls?

I love Mario Kart 8 and it's still 2 weeks away from its release!

Nothing beats Pikmin 3 though.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Difference is, the level of precision required in Zelda is lesser than KIU on the harder difficulties, and waaaaay less forgiving than Wonderful 101 even on normal.  Reviewers die, feel frustrated, and blame controls.  Also doesn't help that 101 and KIU were new IPs (or not new in the case of KIU but drastically changed), so they didn't have the built in legacy Zelda had.  And of course Skyward Sword was also a better game besides that, so even the complaints about controls (and there were quite a few) couldn't knock it down as far.

Perfect platforming physics and excellent level design?  Great blend of accessibility and challenge that makes it perfect for families?  Best retail platformer on the market (haven't played enough of the indies to really judge that)?

If MK8 were my fave I woulda voted for it, but since I haven't played it yet I don't know if I'll like it more than Pikmin 3 so I voted for the latter.
