Sony was. Ms has acted faster to change what they did while it took Sony a lot longer to do anything

I'd go with Sony being more arrogant (making the PS3 $200 more than the competition by incorporating Blue-Ray and whatnot rather than "just" $100) but Microsoft is more stupid (herp-a-derp, let's bundle a peripheral that was only ever really popular for about a year and adds $100 to the price).

A standard PR statement like "we don't focus on the competition but on our customers" would have sufficed. What he said was dumb, dumb, dumb...

MS hands down. The #dealwithit and "stick with the 360" comments were worse than anything sony said.

Both are probably equally asshole-ish.

That last comment by Yu-something was so unbelieably stupid, my brain could not grasp it for the first 5 minutes of reading it.

Both kinda were shitty, sony thinking people would get 2 jobs for a ps3, and ms thinking to play offline there is the x360. both suffering from a sever case of head up the ass syndrome.

Sony's comments were worse, but Microsoft's actions and what they attempted to do with the Xbox One was far worse.

Sony was more arrogant in 06, but what MS tried to do this current gen was much more stupid. The pre-180 plans that they wanted to force on gamers were unethical. They would have totally and completely tanked if they had gone forward with it. I seriously think they would maybe be hitting 1/3 their current sales had they not 180'd. And that is a maybe.

I am actually interest to understand what was unethical about MS pre-release plans.  Are you taking about the DRM part.  If so could you explain what was unethical about it.

Overall i'd definitely say Sony takes the crown here (that show was a total mess), but the fake Forza 5 demo was pretty shitty. Trailers that over promise are bad enough, but giving people a fake playable demo and claiming it's real? :/ Not cool man, not cool.
