And LOL @ Internet backlash. EA has won the "Worst Company in America" for 2-3 years running now. They sell tons of games. Call of Duty faces craploads of vitriol every single year yet sells tens of millions every year.

You spoke about it in such a factual manner, I simply assumed you were informed on the matter. And I know you think your butt is reliable, people who pull stuff out of their butts always do.

So, unless I have an actual quote from Microsoft or solid numbers, I can't prove that the internet laughed at Microsoft over that promotion?

Just look at the comments on any thread or aticle on that issue. People were disgusted.

If they're not exclusive they don't count. Got nothing to do with being indie or not, it's the exclusive status. Like Resogun is an exclusive but Outlast isn't.

There are plenty not on that list that were exclusive. But like I said, this was last gen, when indie and downloadable games didn't matter to certain people ;)

I don't really know where you get that from? If someone truely believes this I don't agree with them. Trials HD and Limbo were a big part of why I rebought a 360 in 2010.

Indie games on your console can never be seen as a downside and even though not everyone loves them as much as I do they're great to have between big releases. That's why I've made threads like this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=169077&page=1

Indie games always mattered and that's why a lot of PS owners spammed the hell out of Sony and indie devs in hope to get certain games released for their console. Especially in the beginning of 7th gen Xbox 360 was the best place to find indies and many PS owners wanted those games on PS as well.

But eventually PS3 did receive an awful lot of great indie games as well you know. Maybe that's why it wasn't as big of a topic as it is now where PS4 without question is the place to go for indie games.

In my opinion only 3 important indie games are missing on the PS3 and that's Bastion, Super Meat Boy and Torchlight. There are more than 3 games I would've missed without a PS3. These are just the "indie" games I own on the PS3:

Well PS3 doesn't have any buzz worthy games  like Titanfall releasing this year. There really is less incentive to keep playing it then X1.

If people had less incentive to play, why didn't they just trade their PS3s in like Microsoft wanted to?

Also, the PS3 easily has the 360 beat in terms of exclusive games. The [amount] of JRPGs being released now is amazing, and Persona 5 is coming out next year.

Your argument is invalid. 

So are you trying to say that the only people that haven't upgraded are JRPG fans?

I think often of a good move is that MS should give their fans is give up the Gold subscription for Xb360 users, no? They had a whole gen paying for the service and now that the console is fading in terms of relevance power, it's the minimum to do with their still loyal fans still playing on the last gen console.

But who am I fooling? MS is not and will never be Sony. Even if they try hard.
