Not even VGC takes VGC seriously any more :D

Well we shall see. That momentum based purely on good will won't last forver unless they start delivering. Smart arse tweets and childish pranks by grown men becomes tiresome after a while. It might start to look desperate too. I think the consensus of the neutral gaming press is that right now the ONE has the better software line up and has the better experience. Lol, even Francis thinks so... thats some turnaround. |
Doubt it. This just seems like a fun post to me.
There is only a handfull of die hard fans who might be annoyed by it. An insignificant group.

Because it's fun to point those things out to people, especially when they're really adamant about it. There is no malicious intent behind something like this (or at least not for me) it's just a fun part of forum posting, when someone makes a prediction like this, he should be aware that people might come back to call him out on it, when/if it turns out wrong and there's no harm in doing that (of course there are always points where things stop being funny) Especially in this case I really don't see why anyone would be mad when he's being called out for being wrong, after all this is nothing but good news for the Xbox (even though I've seen people trying to spin this saying things like this would make the developer community mad, because it's going to split the userbase etc.) |
I agree with you. But in this case, both arguments could be well backed up.
Some people make crazy claims without backing it up...that would be the best time to do something like that.
This is fucking rich. I'm choking on my laughter right now.
If they are finally returning to the kind of things that made me like the OG Xbox, then I might have all 3 systems of this gen sooner than I thought.

I agree with you 100% mate. Xbox haters will have no excuse to bash Microsoft anymore.. But I must admit that I am a bit sad and disappointed because this will mean that Microsoft will drop support for Kinect games now that its no longer mandatory. Do you have the same concern?

This is a stupid reason to, no offense.
If MS want's Kinect support then they should make it worth while it self. Now that the Kinect has to sell on its own merits, MS needs to actually give people a reason to buy it.

Yes but i love kinect and see loads of potential in it. lol
I trust no one, not even myself.I wonder what kind of discount Forza 5 will have. I've been waiting on it to be cheap used because I love the franchise but can't support that day one DLC and microtransaction bullsh, but if the digital version is discounted enough, I might have to cross the line.

You have to also look at who has already been utilized. Sucker Punch JUST launched Infamous so don't expect a game from them soon Uncharted is looking like its pretty far away considering the layoffs / very little info Guerrilla put out Killzone only 6 months ago, and while I know they have another IP coming down the pipe it is most likely still at BEST a year away Santa Monica just had a big chunk of staff layed off, one of their most important devs leave the company, and a big brand new IP canceled.
Now that isn't just doom and gloom for Sony by any means, and as I said they are traditionally very strong with software. They very well could come out and blow our socks off at E3 with tons of amazing reveals. That being said many of the big players seem to be quite a ways away from launching another game for the PS4. |
Guerrilla putting out Killzone 6 months ago is irrelevant, thery are a two team studio. Santa Monica is massive and is said to still have God of War 4 and another new IP in development.
You are also forgetting quite a few. Sony Bend have a new IP that is yet to be announced, as do Media Molecule and Quantic Dream. Sony Japan has a few new IPs rumored to be in develoment and are also co-developing Project Beast. PS4 sounds worse off only when you forget just how many studios they have/work with.
Now the ones I added might not be as big as SSM or ND but it only takes one great game. If The Order 1886 metas above 85 and sells well Ready at Dawn instantly become a great developer.(and hopefully Sony buys them)
I do have to wonder though, do you think that Kinect Sports Rivals mediocre performance had some form of influence in that decision?
