Do have any clue what a right is? A right is being able to walk down the street without getting assualted or beating by any man or government, not forcing someone to change a game or a make them a cake. Go play SIMs or Go to another store that will make the cake

Gays are frequently beaten up and assaulted in the streets for being gay.

In countries like Russia yes, but me and this guy dont last time I checked. The last serious case like that here in the U.S. was early 90's. This is complaining about game that isnt allowing him to be himself. Last time i checked every game is make beleive entertainment. If wants to date a man in this game be a chick pretty easy if you ask me

Exactly now there is right that was taken away and people should complain about. But for this guy to complain about a game not allowing him to be in a gay relationship is pretty immature if you ask me.

He's merely asking for inclusion for a large group of people.

Everyone look at the trailer for Tomodachi Life. Take a good look at it. It's a simulation game where Miis (chibi characatures of people) basically play out a comedic soap opera. I find it both hilarious and saddening that this game of all games is at the center of what passes for a political controversy in the gaming community, with various people (many of whom probably have no interest in the actual game itself) coming out of the woodworks to offer an opinion about either Nintendo or homosexuality. It's quite bizarre!

I don't really mean this thread, after taking a look at the comments sections on other sites, the conversation here seems downright tame.

Since I'm not sure on the issue, I'll think about it with the analogy of ice cream to see what is just or not. If someone likes cherry ice cream and Baskin Robins did not sell it, would it be just to insult Baskin Robins? I think it would be okay to request Baskin Robins to sell cherry ice cream, but I'm not sure if the person has grounds to get angry about it. On the reverse side, I think it is incredibly stupid to discriminate people that like a particular ice cream flavor. How stupid it would be if someone got attacked because the person liked onion flavored ice cream. A person may disagree with onion flavored ice cream, but I think that person cannot dislike someone because of ice cream flavor preference. Then again we shouldn't eating so much ice cream in the first place no matter the flavor.

Gays are apart of the family audience.  Some kids also are gay too.  Yes they would be happy. In fact I've never heard anyone complain about homosexuality in their game.  Only the lack of it.

Name calling and avoiding questions.  It's like the homosexual version of Fox news.

You know I don't have anything against LGBT persons, plenty of my good friends and colleagues are among them, so I don't want to make a stink out of this.  I was just saying, I think Nintendo would be hurt by it.  If you don't agree that's fine, no need to over react.  If they say they will do it in the future, let's see.

"Samus loves Iwata" was hillarious.

It sounds like this is pretty much what happened here, Nintendo said that the next time they release a new ice cream it will be cherry flavored. A win for cherry ice cream enthusiasts and Nintendo alike.

I like all sorts of ice creams. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, tin roof sundae, fudge ripple, orange cream, chocolate & peanut butter, mint chocolate chip.... hang on what was this thread about again

It's not name calling; firstly it wasn't aimed at you, secondly, that's factually what someone is if they discriminate against people based on their orientation. It's no more name calling than if I were to call a man who beats his wife a wife-beater.

I didn't avoid your question or call you anything bug an apologist.  I showed what Nintendo said it would do.  I told you that gays are a part of the kids and family audience(as much as 7-10%).  I legitimately don't think it will hamper sales and here is why:
Skyrim has tons of sales and no gay controversy surrounding it.
Dragon's Dogma sold well for Capcom no gay complaints.
The Sims is one of the PCs best sellers no gay controversy.
Birdo SMB2 big sales, no controversy. Plus a gay character in Mother, Transgender character in Baten Kaitos
Cloud cross dressing in FFVII big sales no controversy,
MGS 2 with Vamp no controversy,
Mass Effect great sales no controversy,
Fable good sales no controversy,
GTA and the ballad of gay tony, good sales no controversy with gay in the name,
Bully good sales no controversy,
I may recall a lesbian in Valkyria Chronicles which sold well for what it was.
State of Decay
The last of US

I have not been sarcastic. I answered your question multiple times.  I guess you just don't want to hear me or can't believe my response.
