These are good games but only for the Nintendo user and its not for the new users because they need more new IP's and third party games instead of wating every 2/3 months to play exclusives. Microsoft and Sony also have some exclusives but they are new and not very popular IP's like Mario which nintendo has. So, non-nintendo users will wait for the console price to go down (or) more exclusives to get releaesd to buy the system.

The Mario Kart 8 deal is great for those guys. You get a free game for a limited time if you buy it. 

You can get Zelda Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle + Mario Kart 8 + Pikmin 3 (as a free game) + Super Mario 3D World for only $400. That's pretty cheap! Doesn't even buy you an XBONE without games.

You're in the vast minority if you buy 24 games each year (not on this site, but in general). I myself only play quality games, and there's no way in hell that there's 24 quality games released each year. Not ones I like anyway. 

Besides, I could play Mario Kart 8 for years without wanting a new game (doesn't mean I won't buy new games however). I'm really glad I don't need to buy 2 games per month lol.

If everyone thinks like you then gaming industry will be down soon due to lack of support from gamers stating the reason as lack of quality. Every developer tries their best to create a quality game but sometime not everything comes right, so we should not stop buying their games because it missed some things, otherwise they will stop making games and there will be no one to create games and so gaming will be dead.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Like i said before, we need new IP's and experience more and not just same old games with HD visuals and some new elements. If i spend this 400$ on PS4 then i can be rest assured (next 3-5 years) that i will able to experience old IP's, New IP's, 3rd party games, new innovations (virtual reality) etc., but from Wii U i only get to play Nintendo games and no gurantee of new IP's and 3rd party games(even if we get they are inferior version at same price like other consoles) in future.

EDIT: I might consider Wii U when the price is down and library of their exclusives become very good after two years.

A nice list of the great games that are coming. Couldn't be happier when x really is coming in 2014.

 

Mario kart 8 - Looks good.

Bayonetta 2 - Looks good, will not sell well on Wii-U

Hyrule warriors - Looks like SHIT. ( No offense )

X -No true real gameplay vid yet, so could be good, could be bad.

SSB - Looks good.

Watch dogs - comes out for PS4/XBO earlier, so no one will buy the Wii-U version when it is finally released.

Overall, this list is SUB PAR at best.

LOL i bet he is one of those Nintendo fans who last year watched the direct and kept spamming Zelda, Mario Kart show some footage.  I on the other hand was screeming FMD where are the new IPs this E3 is BS get your game up. 

I always find it funny that people find games that are GURANTEED to come out as a  big surprise when they seem a short 30second video and get so excited. Why should we get excited for th predictable? I never understand that. On the other hand you see Microsoft and Sony show us new IP and your like cool something different.

At the end of the day sure those 8 games are great but they need genre varieties. Where are my sports games (and no mario tennis, golf or whatever don't count as they don't have actual sports stars)? my racing sim? my FPS (other than COD)?

Hell for me the most exciting thing comgi out on Wii U in the near future is spider man 2, and the game aint that great lol. But its not a game with mario in it.

Anyone with the money and the patience to wait for good sales can do it, it's not a matter of luck.

I don't care if I'm in the minority or the majority, all I care about is that those are my gaming habits and the Wii U doesn't currently cater to them. And if you don't think that there are at least 24 good games released a year, then your tastes are clearly much more narrow than mine.

I don't buy lots of games because I "need" to, I do it because want new experiences. Playing a game where I feel I've already experienced everything it has to offer is very boring to me, unless it's an absolutely mindblowingly amazing game, but those are very hard to come by.
