Traditionally both MS and Nintendo overship in Q3 so maybe. We'll have to wait and see.

Vita might win a battle but it already lost the war.

To anyone complaining about moderations in here; there have been six bans in this thread, of which four are the same user and his alt accounts and a fifth being banned a second time for seemingly thinking we're in the wrong to ban alt's and the sixth for an amazing attack on the OP sprinkled with what can only be interpreted as accusations of favoritism and mod bias. That's what I'm getting from all this anyway.

We hope this is the last time we have to act in this thread and this is not the place to take up displeasure with moderations; we have guidelines for that, guidelines that should be familiar to most users in here by now.

I don't think they will seperate the numbers, because even combined, they're pathetic, seperate would look even worse. Even if the vita does out ship the 3ds, it's still nowhere near out selling it.... So I'm not entirely sure what the point is..... They over shipped, so they would ship less afterward.... What looks bad, is the fact that even tho the 3ds was over shipped massively(I assume), it still will probably outship the vita still... And that's without the vita being over shipped (I assume).. So while the 3ds is apparently selling out the old stock, they are selling enough to have it still outship the vita.. And that's the point, to sell to customers... I don't know why people are getting so excited over this thread, it's just a subject from a different perspective. I don't view this as a Nintendo doom thread at all.(even if it's intended as such).  I thought the practice of over shipping, then shipping less afterward to compensate, was a regular practice for any electronics company and products... So, is it possible? Sure it is. Is it an accomplishment? Not really, when you look at the huge difference in sales and store presence. And I haven't noticed seece bombarding the forums with nintendoom threads... Even so, I simply ignore threads that may annoy me, that's a simple thing to do, and I do it often.

Basically what's in retail channels now is what there is. The LCD model will replace the original once all the original is sold out so if you want an OLED thats brand new, best get one sooner rather than later.

I highly doubt any stock was shipped in the West at all tbh other than the LCD units shipped to the UK because it appears they ran lower on OLED stock faster than planned.

As for separating Vita figures from PSP, I guess we need to wait until PSP sales dry up so much that combining them makes it look even worse than having them separate. Will Vita outship 3DS? Possibly, but I'd reckon only for 1 quarter (3DS had plenty of LEs in Japan lately) and in the grand scheme of things I don't think it'll mean anything.

Seems its about time Nintendo release the 2DS in Japan. Or they might just skip it for that region and release the next iteration of the 3DS there in due time (I fully expect another one either this year or next).

I think will be a tie. 3DS is bad right now, but Vita is only "ok" in Japan. In EUA is pretty much dead and EU we really don't know

If we are talking about shipment yes... I mean anything is possible they can ship as much as they like in theory.
