Forums - Sales - WiiU forecast to sell (to consumer) under 10m LTD by the end of the year.

Look at my sig.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Well. At least sega fans sort of got their dreamcast 2 :/

Aside from sales WiiU and Dreamcast aren't even slighty comparable. Dreamcast was a revolutionary console ahead of it's time. WiiU is... not.

Well, we can call them both quite poorly handled by the companies that created them.
Though at least Dreamcast had more games... No matter how good some of  the stuff on the WiiU is, I'd prefer a little more volume...

Hey, I'm still betting 10.5 million sold end of fiscal year, putting them about a million shipped over their forecast.
IF they up production as demand ever so slowly ramps.

Honestly I mean if it doesn't really build interest from here I can't see it just chugging along at a slightly increased pace from last year. I feel like if it doesn't get boosts from the last half's software then it will just straight up tank the holidays and end up 9 million FY. So I see it either high or low. Probably wrong though.

Though I guess 2,000 people still buy a Vita every week in the US for some reason so I suppose there's a chance WiiU could simply remain steady in the face of failure and still have people buy it consistently.

My prediction is still under 9 million SOLD by the end of the year.

Lifetime? Around 15 mil +/- 1 million

I have a WiiU and I find it to be very unimpressive. My kids however love it. If any other adults think it isn't. Really much of an upgrade, they won't buy it to even give it a chance. If I wasn't a real gamer, I wouldn't even own it.

It is near the end of the end....

If they make a proffit then it´s all good.

They can't be serious. Too conservative even for them I would say 11 millions is more realistic.

im hoping its a lowball figure so they can exceed expectations but not likely. Lifetime sales i would say between 14-18 million. Its a shame, Wii U is a very good console with some great games, it really deserves better than this.

Actualy it is a good consoles that lacks good games

Started gaming on PS3 3/6/14 :)

Unfortunately for Nintendo Wii U is losing money

Whas this really necesary? I mean at the end of the gen the Vita will probably beat the WiiU sales wise... and lets be honest, library wise it already ahead of the U.
