MGS 4 looks incredible great for a PS3 game that old.
It doesn't really reach the likes of TLOU, but to the date it came out you can say it was the TLOU of its year

i never played a MGS game (i know.. i know.. im aweful). so i probably wont be playing MGS5 any time soon. ( i do plan on watching the cut scenes of twin snakes, playing MGS2/3/4 peace walker and then eventually 5). 

as for Destiny... ha! i wont pay shit, the DLC is WAY to expensive, its not worth it. The Witcher 3 Season pass on the other hand... fuck it.. i would give CD Project Red for money for nothing in return. im buying that season pass.. 

Funfact: My roommates is a PC gamer, he is extremely critical when it comes to games, he's a firm believer in not paying for games and had never played a MGS game before this one, aside from Ground Zeroes to prepare himself a little.

A couple months ago I brought MGS V to his attention and then reminded him again a couple weeks ago, that made him decide to get (pirate) the game the moment it came out, while the game was put online on September 1st to illegally download there was no crack available, that prompted him to actually buy the game (guess these anti piracy methods do work) and let me tell you, he is freaking addicted to it, it is crazy, he doesn't regret buying the game one bit. I don't think I've ever seen him bitch as much everytime he's not able to play and when he's home he plays every chance he gets. He is visiting his girlfriends family this weekend and I shit you not he considered taking his tower PC with him to play MGSV.

And here I am too busy with university to get the game at this point, because I know myself well enough that I'd just power through for the 60+ hours or whatever it'd take me to finish the game.

this qualifies as a "FUNfact"? lol

 

and i have no doubt MGS5 is awesome, because from what i seem from it it is awesome. but i dont wanna ruin the story for myself by playing 5 first. i will get into the series sooner or later.

Gran Turismo 7 Developer Polyphony Goes on Hiring Spree: Are We Getting Close? Companion App Coming

Polyphony Digital has been hard at work on Gran Turismo 7, and looks like the studio is pushing on the gas of development, going on a veritable hiring spree in search of new talent.

The studio posted opportunity ads for thirteen new positions, including AI Engineer, Online Engineer, Graphics Engineer, Game Engine Development Engineers, Game Script Engineers, Sound Development Engineer, Data Engineer, Test Build Engineer, Pipeline Tool Development Engineer, Mobile Application Engineer, In-House Tool Development Engineer, Vehicle Simulation Development Engineer and Physics Engine Development Engineer.

We can also glimpse a few interesting facts from the specific ads themselves:

  • Polyphony wants to improve the situational awareness of AI drivers, and their reactions to the ever-changing conditions of the tracks, giving there a more human-like behavior.
  • Implementing specific regulations for racing series like GT, rally and NASCAR is mentioned, also for events and “mission races.”
  • Polyphony plans to implement a tool to render audio based on 3D space infomation.
  • The studio plans to implement a companion app on mobile that can interact with the series on PlayStation via the network.
  • The studio is collaborating with production sites around the world, and needs to develop communication tools to make the process smoother.
  • The use of GPU compute for physics is mentioned.

The candidates will work on PS4, PC and mobile, but this shouldn’t be taken as an indication that Gran Turismo 7 is going to be on those platforms, PS4 aside. Polyphony has part of its development pipeline on PC workstations, and mobile development is required for the companion app.

This sudden acceleration in hiring might definitely indicate that we’re getting close to an announcement for the game. Tokyo Game Show is incoming, and Paris Games Week will be soon after. The Gran Turismo series is massively popular both in Japan and in Europe, so it’s not unlikely that we might see the game unveiled there.

I still can't believe that they're actually only revealing another Vision GT6 car at this car show in a couple weeks, a small part of me holds on to the believe that GT7 will be revealed there as well and that that Bugatti will be the cover car for that game.
