Not only is Nintendo going to make a ton of money selling Mario Kart 8 to consumers later this month, but now they have confirmed that all Mario Kart 8 videos uploaded to YouTube through MK TV will be auto claimed by Nintendo.

Well, that sucks for people wanting to profit out of it but it makes sense since its their IP

Consistent with Nintendo's Modus Operandi

I'm not surprised nor upset.

Doesn't really bother me since I am barely using my Youtube account anymore!

They better, those Gamexplain guys are making a huge spoiler fest with MK8 footage in the last weeks, like, 9-10 hours of gameplay was showed.
I hate that, I like to have surprises when I play game, that is why I avoid all media about the games that interest me.

I'm okay with this, because it's via Mario Kart TV.

Guess that means we wont be seeing system level Game DVR features in any future Nintendo consoles.

I really wish Nintendo wasn't so scared of the internet.

These game videos are actually good advertisement for wii u. Why dont nintendo and other companies understand? I dont get it.

Yup, figured as much! Not that I'd care about making money off of Youtube if I do decide to try and remember what my Gmail password is so I can upload to Youtube.
