Getting it digitally. I have a 2tb HDD hooked up to my WiiU so have no worries about space, and bought mario kart on virtual console so get the £5 off MK8 deal if i buy on eshop.

Nope, Tropical Freeze was 11GB.

Hell, there are Wii games bigger than this. (Xenoblade, Metroid Other M, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Smash Bros Brawl)

I think you might have mistaken my hypotetichal hyperbole as fact. My children are now old enough to where they don't intentionally destroy property, which is not to say they don't break shit on accident from time to time. The point is, the genetically enhanced superior diamond coating of a bluray disc is no match for the destructive force of a toddler. Careless and destructive as they are though, they just can't scratch a digital copy of a game. (They could ofcourse render a Wii U completely useless in less then 5 seconds, but if small children get a hold of your Wii you have only yourself to blame for the damage sustained)
