As with the WiiU and Xone, I think added value is the way to go with the PS4. The frantic price cutting razor blade model cost Sony and Microsoft too much last gen.

Why? They are running at pretty much optimal supply and demand about now, so the only reason to cut price is if they upped their production but sales didn't increase correspondingly.

Oh don't play that card. We're on an internet dedicated to sales and gaming. Of course people will care more if their preferred platform leads in sales. I guarantee at least 90% of the people here want their console of choice on top.

I think it's funny to see how people really long for their beloved product to win, better dominate, crush the competition or whatever when it actually changes close to nothing

Like I said, the majority of the people on this forum hope for that. It's like rooting for a sports team, what do I get if the Cowboys win the Superbowl? Nothing, but it's great seeing my team do well.
